Aeroclipse Optic Cleaning Fluid

We have a sony A77 and were getting spots when photographing, especially in light contrast, like birds against a blue sky. We tried the way sony said to clean it, with a shaking, which actually made it worse. Research led to this cleaner and it is amazing. Our pictures once again are spot free. It left no residue and dried quickly, while cleaning perfectly. We are very happy with this product

Very effective in leaving the sensor clean and streak free. Must be used with expensive single use applicators but the results are excellent.

Seems to leave a bit of residue but does a decent job of cleaning. Make sure to get the appreciate wipes to go along with these.

Don’t like the fact that it looks like eye drops as I almost made that mistake by accident. However it does work great for cleaning the sensor. Just make sure to do another pass with a dry swab stick then you should be all good to go. It’s an easy cleaning process with great results.

I had a very old bottle, and it didn't clean the sensor at all. I needed to use only one cleaning swap to get the sensor completely clean, which I verified with a tool that illuminates the sensor and shows you a magnified view.

It's impossible to get one single drop out of the dropper - it's all or nothing with this bottle. If you are lucky enough to get one... It slides down the application tip and lands nowhere near where you wanted it. After many attempts, I was able to get some fluid onto the sensor swab, and that's where the nightmare began. I tried varying amounts of fluid combined with varying amounts of pressure and absolutely NOTHING got rid of the streaks this fluid leaves behind. I went through half a brand new box of swabs attempting to get to a 'usable' level of streaks. I cleaned my sensor with this fluid a few hours prior to back-to-back real estate shoots, big big mistake. Just try to imagine how it feels with your sensor looking like this after an hour of cleaning, before walking into a paid shoot... And then another one. If you purchase this product, prepare to spend many additional hours in the editing room. This ruined so many photos for me! Absolutely BLOWS MY MIND that Amazon recommends this product.

Cleaned my Sony A7RII sensor without issue. It was the first time I had ever cleaned a sensor. Followed directions on the the full sensor swab package I purchased separately and it was a breeze. Just be sure to put the camera (Sony A7RII) in "cleaning mode" and keep it there while you clean the sensor to keep the IBIS motion stability system in place. According to youtube posts and articles this is the solution to use for Sony sensors as others solutions maybe too abrasive. If you are thinking about doing this yourself, go for it. There are several very comprehensive tutorials on youtube on how to clean sensors. It literally takes less than a minute to do it. A local shop was not familiar with the idiosyncrasies of cleaning the Sony sensor (non-methanol solution, locking up the IBIS system, etc.) so I opted to do it myself for a lot less money.

Depending what is on the lens the cleaner works fine. Salt spray, works fine. Oil, you may end up with a messy film residue that is almost impossible to get off in the field. I live in a place that Eclipse will no longer ships, but this is no replacement for it.

Very efficient cleaning fluid, cleaned four DSLR camera sensors, Nikon D850, D5 and D500, plus one very old Sony c2011, which was extremely (blotchy) soiled. Using this fluid and cleaning pads, (See further comments on pads) returned them to almost pristine condition. A very easy, rewarding and money saving operation for anyone with a little common sense! Still a lot of fluid and pads remaining.

Used to clean a very dirty sensor, worked perfectly. Should last a fair while. Pleased with purchase.
