The Republic of Tea HiCAF Breakfast Black Tea, High Caffeine, 50 Count

Good taste, helps wake me up.

I have Barrett’s Esophagus and coffee kills my stomach. Then I doubt his tea. It gives me that morning coffee caffeine fix without the acid. I am so happy to have found this since I’m basically a coffee addict and now I’m a Republic Tea addict. It does the trick for sure.

Are you drinking 2 energy drinks a day? Do you also go to the gym and also chug some preworkout before your sets? If that sounds like you, that was me before I found this tea. The toasted coconut has the highest caffeine content, around 160 mg. I first bought this in December 2019, and almost 7 months later have gone through at least 8 tins of it. I was trying to quit drinking energy drinks for a long time, with varying degrees of success. I'd go through a 2 month coffee kick, get sick of it, and then go right back to energy drinks. This tea is a nice mix of both, you don't get the overly artificially sweetened energy drinks, nor the bitterness of coffee. I was able to kick my energy drink habit of 1000mg+ of caffeine a day, and replace it with tea. I love this tea, and cannot speak any higher of it. If you're looking to replace your caffeine habit with something that doesn't hurt your wallet or your heart as bad, definitely give this tea a try.

This made me sick but my wife enjoys it. I'm not sure why it made me sick, though. I'm not sure how it is processed. I drink highly caffeinated yerba mate on a daily basis but this tea makes me sleepy, not hyped. Generally, when things make me sleepy, something in it is reacting negatively with me. I'm not exactly sure what is in this. Food labels are not required to list residue byproducts of chemical reactions.

I used to be a coffee quaffer until my guts decided to rebel (after 50 years of daily coffee.) I now drink this tea in the morning, and it is much easier on my gut than coffee ever was. I also have come to prefer the lift from the caffeine (and other compounds) in tea - it seems to be a longer, more sustainable lift over the jolt of coffee. I've tried other flavors of this tea, but the Breakfast Black is the most tea-like. I was intrigued to learn that the extra caffeine in this comes from green tea extract.

I seriously cannot live without caffeine. I can't function without and I don't want to function without it. I absolutely love this tea because one cup in the morning is enough to keep me going all day. It also doesn't effect me like coffee does. Coffee gives me that weird acidity ouchie feeling but this has none of the side effects and all of the perks. So happy to have found this tea on Amazon :)

Started drinking this tea as a supplement to wean off of harsh pre-workouts for weight lifting. So far so good. Definitely has the caffeine content and it tastes good, however it quickly becomes bitter if over-steeped. The quality is there and they definitely deliver the goods. I steep two in a 12 ounce glass with honey before I go to the gym and it has about the same effect as any pre-workout I've tried. Good stuff.
