Love Yes

Good record.
Cool harmonies, some very trancey tunes, lead singer has a great voice and the music arrangements are a lot deeper than your run of the mill pop record.

Building on the sounds from "The Way and Color"
TEEN is an all-girls indie-rock band from New York, fronted by ex-Here We Go Magic member Teeny Lieberson. Upon leaving Magic, Teeny recruited her sisters Lizzie and Katherine as well as Jane Herships to form TEEN (in 2012 bassist Boshra AlSaadi replaced Herships). After the band’s 2012 promising debut album “In Limbo” and the even better second album, 2014's "The Way and Color", now comes TEEN's third album."Love Yes" (12 tracks; 49 min.) opens with the quirky sounding "Tokyo", which is followed by an upbeat "All About Us". By the time we get to third track "Gone For Us", it's become clear that the band's early sound, as found on their debut EP and debut album, has pretty much disappeared. Yes there are still some slower songs, but even those sound quite transparent and accessible, check "Another Man's Woman" and later in the album "Please" and the album's closer "Push". If there is one song that reminds me of early-TEEN, it would be "Animals". But most of the tunes on "Love Yes" are a logical follow-up to the sounds that TEEN explored on "The Way and Color". "Example" immediately reminded me of early Eurythmics, yes! "Noise Shift" is probably the most danceable tune on the album. The title track reminded me of currently-day Chairlift. In all, "Love Yes" is quite the album, and a very worthy successor to "The Way and Color".I’ve had the good fortune of catching TEEN in concert a number of times in 2012-2014. And they are coming to Cincinnati again later this week in support of the new album. but unfortunately I'll have to miss it due to a work-related conflict. Hopefully I'll catch the girls again later this year at one musical festival or another. Meanwhile, "Love Yes" is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
