I was concerned that this product might be a dud because it was less expensive than similar melon cutters. However, under the strenuous use of my melon loving daughter who purchased 7 watermelons because they were on sale for 4th of July for $2.97 a piece so she bought a weeks worth. We're halfwsy through and the slicer works like a charm! Highly recommended for serious melon fanatics!

This is actually a great product, and I've used it constantly and raved about it; however, one side of the thin wire that goes across the front to cut the mellow came loose last week. I'm still trying to use it, and it's basically working, but I'm not sure how long it will last. I've only had it for a few months, so I was disappointed that it broke so quickly.

It is not sharp enough to slice through the melon and does not remove the slices as easilt as expected. It was not the quality I ecpected and felt like using enough pressure to get it through the melon would break it.

Works exactly as expected. Makes eating watermelon so much easier since I like to cube it and refrigerate for later consumption.

I purchased this because I saw the add. I was expecting to not like it but was pleasantly surprised at how well it works. Cutting the watermelon was a breeze. 4 stars because I found it hard to remove the slices with it. I would definitely purchase this product again.

Don't waste your money! I used it twice and it broke! I had to fish the pieces out of my watermelon!

Just what I was looking for !! I love all kinds of melons and always look forward to the "season of the fruit" I live in a fifth wheel so fridge space is at a premium which means I always cube the melons to store. The worst thing about this is how sticky and messy and time consuming doing this has always been. It will take some practice to use this as perfectly as on TV but it worked great for me. I buy the personal size watermelons and was done cutting and storing in minutes without juice all over everything!. My cubes weren't perfect little squares like the commercial but worked for me!. Next up cantaloupe, honeydew and Canary's. It does take a little pressure to use as it is not a knife. My sister in law used it on a full size watermelon and felt it left too much melon but did admit it may just be practice.
