Lousy house pressure, if I connect outlet of garden faucet to inlet of this pump will I get better outlet pressure to drive an impact type sprinkler?

No it will not do anything for you... This is also 12V not 110 so maybe you should look into your houses old plumbing or contact city about your low water pressure

Yes it has a pressure switch that shuts it off when you shut the flow of water off

What is the wattage need when using a power supply

On the placard for the product that I bought, as well as in the product specs, the amperage is listed as 3.5A, with a maximum of 7.5A(presumably when the pump starts). Ohm’s law states that P=VI, so this yields an average of 12V*3.5A = 42W with a worst case of 12V*7.5A=90W.
