Shout Color Catcher Sheets for Laundry, Maintains Clothes Original Colors, 72 Count

These Shout Color Catcher Sheets have become a staple in my laundry room. They make doing laundry so much more convenient because I don’t have to stress nearly as much about colors bleeding onto lighter clothing. I simply toss a sheet into the wash, and it gives me extra peace of mind when washing mixed loads. While I still use common sense with brand-new dark items, these sheets have helped prevent unwanted color transfer and have saved me from separating loads as often. They’re easy to use, take up virtually no space, and are one of those inexpensive products that make everyday life a little easier. I originally bought these Shout Color Catcher sheets thinking they’d be one of those “maybe it helps a little” products, but after using them for a while now, I honestly don’t want to do laundry without them anymore. They work exactly as advertised. I’ve used them in loads with mixed colors, darker clothing, newer shirts that tend to bleed dye, and even with towels, and these sheets genuinely help prevent color transfer. The first time I used one, the sheet came out noticeably discolored from trapped dye, which immediately showed me it was actually doing something. The biggest benefit for me is convenience. I don’t feel like I have to obsessively separate every single load anymore. Obviously I’m still careful with brand-new bright reds or deep dark fabrics, but for normal everyday laundry these save a ton of time and let me combine loads with much more confidence. I have used these for years and they are incredible! I have never had dyes transfer between clothes in the washer when I use a color catcher. I usually buy at Walmart, but I can buy this box of 72 for the same price as 48 at Walmart.

I bought these color catchers for my son because he’s off to college in a few weeks. I know he’s not going to bother to sort his laundry and figure these will keep him from wearing pink socks and underwear. Ironically I had done a load of wash the week prior with a pair of my red shorts that seem to like to bleed onto other items even though they’re far from new. Sure enough, they bled all over one of my son’s t-shirts (& not discovered until after it came out of the dryer). While teaching him how to do laundry and use the color catchers, I threw a couple into the load which included the tshirt. The color catchers caught most of the pink. I was shocked! I could not believe they worked on a shirt that had already had color set in the dryer. Shout, you made a believer out of me. These color catcher sheets are perfect for a college student (or anyone for that matter). They don’t take up much space, they’re affordable, they save you time by not having to do as many loads, and most importantly because the color catchers work!

I washed a cream colored shag throw rug with new light grey leggings that I thought were color proof. Boy was I wrong! Those leggings had tiny threads of dark blue in them, and they completely tinged my beautiful rug with dark blue. I tried washing the rug several times with oxyclean and hot water but that did not do much at all. I ran across these color catcher sheets, and thought what the heck, maybe they will work. And guess what? They did! I put two sheets in with detergent and hot water and the rug came out clean. No more blue tinge! That just saved me a couple hundred bucks in buying a new rug.

These color catcher sheets have made mixed loads a lot easier for me. They do a good job picking up loose dye and reducing the amount that transfers onto other clothes, which means I don’t have to be as nervous about washing different colors together. I still use some caution with brand-new dark clothing, and if I have a load with something I think might bleed heavily, I’ll sometimes use two sheets. They don’t catch every bit of dye, so I wouldn’t rely on them as a guarantee against color transfer. Even so, they’ve made doing laundry less complicated and given me a little more flexibility with mixed loads. Pros: * Helps catch loose dye during washing * Makes mixed loads less stressful * Easy to use with regular laundry * Can use multiple sheets when extra protection is needed * Convenient and reasonably priced Cons: * Doesn’t catch absolutely all loose dye * Still requires some caution with new dark clothing For the convenience and price, I’m happy to keep these around. They don’t eliminate the need to be careful with clothes that are likely to bleed, but they have definitely made my normal laundry routine easier.

I was recently introduced to these and I love them! Super easy to use. Use one per wash. Sometimes I reuse it if I do lights first and it looks pretty clean yet. Totally works. I normally try to separate my laundry just by darks and lights. I always thought I was doing a good job and my laundry never really seemed to get stained by other colors… BUT! Using these, it will catch the slightest stuff! Amazing. Just gives me extra peace of mind I got this at a great deal on prime day too
