SONGMICS Drafting Chair, Ergonomic Office Chair for Standing Desk

The chair was quick to arrive and my review is after assembly and use on day one. It rises smoothly to a good height using the well placed lever, and is stable at full height. At its lowest height a shorter person may need to use the foot rest. The adjustable foot rest is strong and remains firmly in place when your feet are placed on it. The lower back support adjusts automatically when you lean against it and is well positioned and comfortable. The mesh chair back doesn't tilt backwards and is fairly upright and supportive. Though it is slightly flexible. The seat is a good size, and the cushioning is comfortable. I have used it for a couple of hours without any discomfort. The fold-up arm rests work well and are nicely padded. Assembly was fairly quick and straightforward, with good instructions. The wheels are slightly stiff. I find they only turn when I move the chair whilst I'm sitting on it. When I move the chair without weight on it, the wheel casing revolves, but the wheels don't turn. They may loosen with use. I'm using the chair on a carpet which the hard plastic wheels can grip. Two bolts were missing. However spare bolts are included so it wasn't a problem. The bolts for fixing the back to the seat should be turned carefully as I found two of them did not fix securely but kept turning. Despite this the back seems firmly fixed to the seat. This is a stylish, well made, versatile, comfortable and nice looking chair which I can recommend.

After nearly a year of working from home on a breakfast stool my back and neck were done in! With no end to lock down in sight I decided to bite the bullet and buy a proper 'office' chair. I was slightly apprehensive as this chair had no reviews so I was really buying blind but I am so glad I went for it. In particular I wanted a chair with arms but that could be removed so I could still get close to the desk when needed. This is perfect and so much more comfortable than the chair I was using! The arm supports lift up and down, the height is great, the seat is comfortable and the back rest has been a godsend for my posture. It wasn't too difficult to put together and for the price I really can't complain. I'm really very pleased!

Brilliant product that is very comfortable and great for posture, particularly giving pressure relief on joints from sitting too long at a computer. The Adjustable height to use with a standing desk is also why I bought this product. It is often difficult to buy online if you aren’t testing a chair beforehand, but what helped me to decide was the video that went with it. The design allows for changes of position, which makes it ideal for long term work at a desk.

This arrived yesterday and I assembled it this morning. Quite easy to assemble only need an Allen Key, which was supplied with it. the nuts and bolts etc were all in a bubble pack and very clearly identified which made assembly quick and easy. The quality of the product seems good for the price point. I bought it to use with an easel which it will do very well, it is a bit bigger when assembled than I imagined but is ok for me. It would not fit under and ordinary desk but it would fit under a drafting table.

The chair itself is great, comfortable sturdy and looks good. Let down by the coasters Had to spend another £15 to replace the ones supplied so it will operate with ease on my tiled floor.

Very good quality and easy to assemble. My only gripe is that the lowest seating level could be just a tad bit lower but I have purchased an under desk foot rest to accommodate my slightly swinging legs. Other than that, I’m happy with my purchase. Very sturdy, no squeaks. Quality materials.

Easy to assemble but the metal it is made from is really low quality which means it already has metal fatigue and the seat always tilts forward. The metal has actually started to split its such bad quality and weak. I'm only 80kg and use the chair once a week in home office.

My teenagers desk is a little higher than most to fit over a radiator. The standard desk chair just wasn't tall enough. This chair worked perfectly and it's height range is really impressive. It is super comfy and well built. Incredible value for money!
