HealthSmart 5" Padded Raised Toilet Seat Riser, Round, Slip Resistant Pads

I recently injured my knee which makes trying to stand up or sit down very difficult. It makes trying to get on and off the toilet is a real adventure! I have two bathrooms and purchased one toilet riser to see if it would help. The one I purchased was a fancy-dan style, that was well recommended. However, it does not fit my toilet well and it slides around on the top of the toilet. Also, it isn't as tall as I would like it to be. This toilet riser by Healthsmart is an entirely different story. It fits my toilet like a glove. The manufacturer of this seat understands that plastic and porcelain are not well met so they put three strips of rubber on the bottom of this riser to insure that it will stay in place. This seat is 5 inches high. I'm 5'10" so the added height makes this riser much easier to get on and off of. It is also easy to clean. The only down side is that it isn't the most comfortable toilet seat I have ever used. But, let's face it...how long are you going to be sitting there anyway? This toilet seat riser by Healthsmart is definitely worth the money.

I bought this for my mother who got home from hip surgery, and it has been a complete game-changer. The 5" raised height makes it so much easier and safer for her to sit and stand without straining. Perfect!! Wonderful for elderly or anyone recovering from hip replacement. Fits most toilets (I think), is very simple clean and simple construction (no fussy locks). We have them in both bathrooms. My husband and I both had hip replacements and even after healing we kept them on the toilet You may find after using the riser and remove it, it feels like you're going to sit on the floor. At least we did, far more comfortable. Very good quality and very reasonable price.

Helps tremendously, but diesnt always stay securely in place. Able to lift body without strain

This raised toilet seat has made sitting down and getting up much easier and more comfortable, as I struggled with back pain and had difficulty sitting and getting up from my low toilet bowl seat. I really like the sturdy design and slip-resistant features, which provide extra confidence and stability. It is very easy to install and stays in place. A practical, well-designed product that offers added comfort and support for everyday use.

Very sturdy. Doesn't move around or tip from side to side, stays put. I like the 5 inches tall.

Did not like the raised toilet seat

This was purchased for an elderly family member. They were very happy with it as it helped them while they were having issues with their knees. The only problem they mentioned was that it felt like it slipped but that may have been simply them not being accustomed to using it.

It fits perfectly and it's the just the right height. It doesn't move at all so there's no danger of injury after surgery.
