Loads of meat with great taste and texture, very filling and good value. Easy to cook, just put it in the oven and enjoy when the timer tings. Very convenient pie

Really lovely pie would buy again all steak no kidney I don't like kidney do will buy again.

What I like most about this is how its stored, unlike most other steak & pie's which go in the freezer...this one goes with all my canned foods and can last a long time. On the packaging they name certain brands for the can openers but you can use any you have. Tastewise its good (not the best) as the meat is a bit fatty...I do like some bits of fat when I have meat but I'd like more solid chunks of meat in this...there is definitely a good quanitity of meat..just not the best quality as all the meat seems to have some fatty taste to it. Still given how I havent come across any other steak pie that I can store with my canned foods I find this amazing as my freezer is always full.

As expected

Once upon a time these were a handy stand-by for an adequate effortless meal, but the quality has nose-dived to the point that it's a bad joke. The gravy tastes odd, and there is hardly any meat at all - the last tin I tried (and it will be the last I buy) had two small fragments, literally only that tiny amount. I remember what these pies were once, but what is being produced now is a pastry pie with not particularly nice gravy and you can whistle for any steak. Save up and make your own or get a decent one from the butcher.

My can opener couldn't open it! Had to buy a new can opener. When cooked it had a lovely fluffy pastry but inside had an appalling low amount of meat. It did taste great but the meat was so sparse. Most of it was gravy. I would not recommend if you are looking forward to the filling.
