Great product
I've purchased many different clippers through the years. To wich my dogs would normally flinch when cutting there nails. It was obvious the dogs were in discomfort. I tried THE Miller's Forge clippers. My dogs didn't flinch at all ! And the clippers even cut my full sized dogs nails like a hot knife through butter. No crunching nails no flinches. I can't believe sharp, how smooth and effortless these clippers are these.

Great but not for small breed with curved nails.
These were sharp and did not split the nail. Cut through like butter.... But I could not use them on her back paws because she is small and they don't open all the way, so I could not get them around the curve if her nail. I would recommend for a large breed but I'm returning mine.

I can’t say anything but good about these!!!
These are the best clippers I have ever owned or used. after using on both of my German shepherds on all 4 paws with thick nails it’s safe to say these are a 10/10 usually I have to basically pin one of my dogs to the ground because he flips out since the other kind hurt him but with these he didn’t even flinch. They are very sturdy, sharp, lightweight and easy to hold! the only downside is the red grips slide down sometimes but I can just put a little super glue in it and it should be fine.

Work great
I hate clipping my dogs’ nails. The clippers I’ve tried in the past always feel clumsy and awkward. These are comfortable to hold, cut well, and are small for storage compared to others. My only small complaint is the nail stop guide piece is very loose. It can be hard to hold in place and line up the nail if your dog isn’t calm during trim time. The rubber handles can tend to slip off but they do slide right back on. Overall I would buy again.

Great Clippers
These dog clippers are the best I've ever had! They have a sharp blade and are easy to handle. I have bought clippers in the pet supply section of the store. These clippers were terrible: hard to use, dull blades. They scared my dog. This is the first time my dog hasn't minded having her nails clipped!

The best nail trimmers for professionals
As a pet groomer, these are hands (or paws?) down the BEST nail clippers. They are sharp and do not have the loud snap like most clippers. Dogs prefer this pair because there isn’t a lot of pressure needed to cut the nail. It literally cuts them like butter. I do wish these came in a bigger size for larger dogs.

Way better than the prior one
Update 2 years later: I have a little dog now! The clippers still work great. ------ First I got an inexpensive clipper, because this the Millers Forge had such mixed reviews *and cost double. The cheap one said great for cats only, and I don't have a dog so I thought it would work. Clipping is new to me because she always scratched her claws down her whole life, so the occasional trip to the vet was all the clippings she needed. But then she got really old. And I don't know how much time passed before I noticed it, but I found this one enormous velociraptor claw on one of her back paws. I felt so bad for missing it! (But she's also a biter, so that was another reason...). Back to the cheap clipper for cat nails. Splintering, shredding, high squeezing force to get it through the nail. My little hands didnt have enough force to get all the way through, so I basically just mangled it and terrized her in the process. So you guessed correctly, I was only given one chance to give her that negative experience. She's done with the cheap ones forever. Enter the Millers. I let a few weeks go by in hopes that her geriatric memory would fail her. Then I finally cajoled her with treats and held her to me and *swiftly grabbed her back leg and went for the Bad News. It worked! Fast, smooth, and painless. No splintering or forcing it through The Claw. I want to address some points from other negative reviews: They are clearly designed to be operated with one hand only. The lock mechanism is designed to swing down and away by gravity when the right hand squeezes the clippers and gives it a little flick of the wrist. It swings back into place afterword when you tip your hand the other direction while squeezing and let gravity toss it back into the lock position. The nail guard works the same way. While you are reaching around with your clipper hand, place the guard side toward your face and use your thumb to move it on or off the nail site. Once again, one handed operation. Reverse hands if you are left handed. Your wrist flick will just go in the other direction. If you are holding the clippers with the wrong side facing you, it will feel like you have to use both hands to manipulate both the lock and the guard. It's going to be very frustrating and you'll probably lose your window of opportunity. Try it at a few different angles until you can pop both of those on and off seamlessly with a flick of your wrist, THEN grab the cat lol. The only negative I want to mention is that I have child-sized hands, and it's uncomfortable for me to squeeze that size of flat handle edges for very many nails. It still works out, because she escapes at about the moment my hand starts to hurt. But if your cat is docile and lets you, ye with tiny hands might consider a more comfortable grip.

Nice Clippers
Perfect for my 30 lb Dashund mix. Very Sharp and very accurate cuts. I have never found the safety guards on nail clippers to be useful. They make it hard to see what you're doing and you cannot trust them when you get close to the quick. Maybe they're good for beginners, but they were not useful for me even when I was a beginner. Now I have been doing this for many years. At first, the locking lever kept swinging in my way and locking the clippers while I was cutting the nails. I just bent it slightly and now it stays out of the way when I'm using them. One note, they're designed not to open all the way, so even if the nails are long, you have to insert the nail through the hole in the clippers all the way at the end of the nail, you cannot just clip the nail halfway. This was annoying at first, but I realize it will prevent me from cutting anything else but the nail accidentally. Miller's Forge is a highly rated brand, and these are very inexpensive compared to how great a quality they are.

Accurate dog nail clippers, even for small hands
These are solid and easy to use, even for my large dogs’ nails. They are great for shaving bits off with accuracy. Great deal for the price.
