It smells very close! It's a pearled white conditioner that leaves your hair light and at the end of the day your hair smells just like I remember from many years past ..but conditioned ..you will love it!! If your a die hard prell user like me

yes, I colored my hair for years and always used Prell

Q: Is this the same green prell i used in the 1950s, with a clean, distinct scent that leaves hair brilliant?

Yes! I don't remember conditioner from the 60s and 70s, but shampoo is the same thickness, same scent, same clean feeling. I've been using it for the past 15+ years, and still love it!
