Hi, would these be suitable for a 1500 lb harley tri glide?

I've owned Harleys and used many a ratchet tie down when trailering, but my bikes weighed in the 700lb  range. I'm using these Rhinos on a 700lb ATV. For a 1500lb bike, I'd probably go with bigger strap.

Question 2

Is it legal to have usa on the product if it is made in china?  i want to buy american mfg. product.

Unfortunately it isn’t illegal to have USA as part of your business name. They are headquartered in California (Peoples Republic of Cali) USA, so by alluding to USA in their marketing, it’s a legal but deceptive practice. I wouldn’t buy their product if it was gold-plated just because of the ethical impropriety. I’ve said it before, people will automatically feel better about the product if they believe it’s a domestic product; a trick of the mind. The thought of Made-in-America will make a product feel heavier and more substantial than its counterpart sold without the deceptive name. Even if it is well made, the Chicom manufacturers have proven time and again they use inferior material and dangerous chemicals not allowed in USA. But...it’s completely legal.

Where are thwy made? I see its an american business so im curious.

not made in usa. company told me the webbing is made here but everything else is made overseas. thats why it took 1-2months for stock to come back in because the boat takes that long to get here from china. i have no idea how its cost effective to ship USA made webbing overseas just to get it shipped back. unless they buy the hooks and ratchets overseas and stitch the webbing here. atleast that would support two USA jobs. webbing and stitching.

How short can this strap be?

You are limited by the length of the strap attached to the ratchet mechanism. You should be able to go as short as 24"  and as long as 8ft in length when binding a load.
