What is the effective life in a state like Florida?

I have my cat's hammock on this window that I want covered, will her hammock still work/stick to this film safely?

First, Haton on my second order sent me 5 Scraps waded up in a bag, use different company. Second, no it won't work as it will probably not stick directly to it and/or pull it off eventually 'if' it did stick, but doubt it sticks as it has a texture to it. You could cut around the hammock attaching area. I would recommend putting film on the opposite side of the glass of the hammock. Film looks best on the viewing side but still ok on opposite side.

Does the brown color option still make rainbows when sun is shining through it?

Yes the rainbows comes thru beautiful..try to get a picture of it but couldn't do it...
