Carved Box Chime in Hand Painted Renaissance Crackle

I’ve searched for a unique door bell cover for over a year.. This is door bell is absolutely Beautiful! I was pleasantly surprised how well they designed the cover. It’s extremely aesthetically pleasing to say the least … The only thing you should be aware of is it’s a little heavier than most of the cheaper door bell covers. If you are looking for a more unique, well made, eye catcher… THIS IS IT!!!

We were looking for just a doorbell cover to go over our existing chime. When I searched for “box” this came up. I thought it was a little high to spend for just a cover but I got it used from amazon at a better price. When we got it, it was an entire doorbell. So we just used the cover and have the extra chime as a backup. It looks more black in person, which fit our wall perfectly. One of my favorite pieces of my redecorating project.

The box is beautiful and it is heavy, it took the place of our worn out 18.5 year old cover.... note the size difference... hubby used 2 drywall screws to hang, versus the option that arrived with the chime cover; the chime has a good tone...

The cover is exceptionally attractive. The doorbell unit is above average for bar-type chime. Customer service is non-existent. They failed to return a question I sent after the product was delivered.

I opened the box less than 5 minutes ago and already have it repackaged for return. The actual finish is silver and looks absolutely nothing like the picture. Craftmade must know the finished product paint scheme doesn't resemble the picture, which is why they don't include a return label. There's yellow stains all over that are a very bad attempt to create the crackle look depicted in the picture. Don't waste $75 on this product.

This doorbell is beautiful. It was a little pricey, but it was the only one I found that was different than the standard white, or wood colored doorbell covers.

It's a very unique door chime however I didn't like the purple undertone and yellow spots. So I painted it a colour that blends more with my interior. Now it's stunning! The crackle design is still reflected through the paint.
