You may be asking why I bought this on line when you can get a concrete edger at HD or L? They don't sell the 6". I was watching the pros on youtube and they use the 6" so of course I had to try it. The claim is that being 6" it creates a flatter and wider edge which is correct. I was concerned that it is flat on the ends and it would gouge, however, with a slight lift in the direction of travel it works perfectly. I'm old and only do small DIY pours of 25-30 sq ft by myself. Since it's my house I like to finish what I call "lawsuit" smooth with no broom marks. Once dry, sweeping is a breeze. Funny thing when i was doing some work for my son i broom finished and he preferred the super smooth. So i steel troweled again. This edger helps compete the package and is money well spent.

Works really well , I have a few of them and no disappointments
