Can i use hot water in it? Or will the plastic melt?

I use lukewarm water because I feel like if the water is to hot that it would be very uncomfortable for the patient. It is very durable though. It could probably take pretty warm water with no problem. It works great for bedridden patients.

Our other basins, the drain hose was attached. This one is not. How do you keep drain hose in basin? It fell off twice, soaking bed! We tried duct tap

We leave it connected all the time and it has never come off.

This doesn’t come with a pump any suggested pumps to buy? Or do I have to return this item?

I happen to have a pump for my air mattress purchase prior that I use to pump this item up. A simple motorized or manual pump should do.

Do you drain as you go or at the end of washing hair. The place where the hose connects leaked all over the bed. I had it draining as I went.

I always hooked up the hose and had it opened during the hair washing. I had it draining into a bucket (OK - actually a wastebasket) so the water would not build up in the basin. It worked perfectly provided the hose was thoroughly attached. Bed never go wet - I was totally pleased with the basin, helping my ailing wife to have totally cleaned hair. Washing her hair using this basin was one of the tender mercies I could offer her.

Leaked...disaster

The hose isn't connected but is a separate piece that slides onto a piece attached to the basin. It kept slipping off and leaked water everywhere. Huge clean up and my poor Mom was soaked and cold. I've used this type of basin before, but the hose was attached to the basin and did not come off. Will return this badly designed product. I am sorry I bought it.

Ésta tina para lavar el cabello para una persona que se encuentra en cama es excelente, el material de alta calidad, el desagüe funciona de maravilla y es muy cómoda, tanto para el paciente como para quién hace el trabajo. La recomiendo ampliamente.

Recommend it but buy the IV pole

Great to wash my mom’s hair in her bed. NOTE- you need to buy an IV pole to hang the bag of water from. If anyone could have seen us attempting to do this the first time lol. The CNA is trying to squirt the water but gravity was declining the attempt so I literally had to hold the bag up above my head while she washed my mom’s hair. We had a huge laugh the entire time because it seemed like a joke selling this item without the pole because the IV pole IS NECESSARY. I ordered one immediately and it came next day and it was perfect.
