Waterpik ION Rechargeable Water Flosser with 10 Settings, 7 Tips, Black

It worked just fine. I noticed a dramatic change in the color of my teeth, even though I got it primarily for flossing. The problem is, it stopped working a couple of days ago out of the blue. I purchased it in July, my return expired in August and it cost 99.00 I had to come back and change my review from 3 to 5 stars. It works!!! It was the charging port. It’s constantly exposed to water so some red substance like erosion or rust was blocking the charge. I cleaned it and now it’s working just fine. I’m glad because I was considering getting my teeth whitened to match my implants. I bought this device because my dentist recommended it for cleaning the implants. I also used it on my natural teeth by mixing a little hydrogen peroxide in the water. My teeth whitened and now I don’t need the dentist to do it. This was a good purchase so thumbs up and highly recommended. 👍🏾👍🏾

After conducting extensive product research into water flossers and premium oral-care systems, I chose the Waterpik ION Professional Cordless Water Flosser, and it has exceeded my expectations. I specifically wanted a high-quality countertop water flosser that offered strong performance without adding unnecessary clutter to my bathroom. The rechargeable cordless design was a major reason I selected the ION. It looks clean and modern, the reservoir is large enough for a complete session, and the battery life makes it convenient to use without keeping it constantly connected to an outlet. The cleaning performance is excellent. It reaches between the teeth and along the gumline in areas that brushing alone simply cannot clean as effectively. My mouth feels noticeably fresher, and my entire routine feels much more complete. I pair it with the Oral-B iO Series 9 Limited Electric Toothbrush with Ultimate Clean Brush Head. I also researched that purchase extensively and initially compared it with the Oral-B iO Series 10. Oral-B Customer Service, which was excellent, explained that the iO Series 9 Limited Edition was released after the iO Series 10 and recommended it as the latest option in the market. Together, these two products create an outstanding oral-care system. The Waterpik ION handles the spaces between the teeth and around the gumline, while the Oral-B iO Series 9 Limited provides a thorough and polished brushing experience. I did not choose this combination casually. I compared products, features, design, technology, and convenience before deciding. After using both, I genuinely believe the Waterpik ION Professional Cordless Water Flosser and the Oral-B iO Series 9 Limited are among the best oral-care products available and work even better as a pair.

I purchased this after purchasing the portable handheld one. This is much better. Better pressure and easier to use. I can only give it a 4 though as after 20 months it died. Everything appears to work, lights on, flashing as if charging, but when I push the start button the light comes on but nothing else. I'll giver them points though. I emailed the customer service and I got the standard form message back that I have seen others on here complain about. I answered all their questions and sent a copy of my receipt, easy from Amazon, and a copy of the serial number on the base. I tried their fixes but nothing. They then decided to send a replacement. I even admitted to not emptying it after each use. (Seems a bit over the top to me as zero deposits in the tank.) That is how it is supposed to work. Took 2 emails to get to the notice they are sending me another.

I started out with a Waterpik Aquarius, which is a very good water flosser. But my sink/countertop is set up so awkwardly (despite being rather spacious) that the electrical cord got in the way, and it was all too bulky to fit properly. Then I got a cordless, hand-held version that was so under-powered and puny that it just didn't do a good job. I hated that one. Finally, the Ion – works like the Aquarius, but slimmer and smaller, and cordless! I've had it for more than a week now, and am really happy with it. I charged it up (as instructed) before using, and haven't yet had to recharge it. It does have a proprietary charger that goes into a USB slot, but that's okay – wish everything could just be a "C" but I get it. It comes with an array of tips, but my dentist told me to use the 'pik pocket' for gum health (and it seems like Waterpik is the only brand with that kind of tip?). Plenty of water in the tank (for two people, even), easy to fill and easy to clean, and I love the way the tubing snaps back into its circular holder. Hope that part keeps working well. And yes, it fits well on my counter, out of the way, with no electrical cord to deal with.

After only 9 months, this thing will not turn on anymore. It is under warranty from Waterpik, but their customer service is absolutely a nightmare to deal with. Don't waste your time. They are slow to respond and each email just brings up a new line of questioning. Most companies would have sent a shipping label to send the unit in for warranty by now. I have been emailing back and forth for a month now with no resolution. They are doing everything they can to not fix or replace this machine. Some excerpts from those emails are below: 1. "Thank you for reaching out to the Waterpik Product Support Team. Since we know your flosser motor is not turning on, I’d like you to try the following steps listed below. What could be happening here is the Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) in the bathroom is interfering with the power going to the unit. In order to test this, I would like for you to take the unit into another room, such as a living room or bedroom, where there is no running water. Try plugging the unit into an outlet in one of those rooms and turn on the flosser to see if the motor turns on. If it does, then purchasing a Single Outlet Surge Protector for the bathroom outlet should resolve this issue in the future. Additionally, we also recommend deep cleaning your unit with a 50/50 solution of warm water and distilled white vinegar. Afterwards, we recommend continuing to clean with a 2:1 ratio of warm water and distilled white vinegar every 1-3 months. If the step above is unsuccessful, then please let me know so we can look into additional steps. " 2. "Thank you for reaching out to the Waterpik Product Support Team. I’m sorry your ION isn’t working properly, but I’m happy to help you look into this today. In order to better assist you I’d like to ask a few questions. I look forward to helping you resolve this issue. How often is this machine used? Do the LED lights illuminate? If they do, please plug the unit into the charger and describe the light pattern. Does the machine’s motor turn on? If there is no motor sound, did it stop during use? How often do you charge the machine? How long do you leave it on the charger? Do you see any discoloration on the charging contacts? Has the machine ever been used in a shower? Do you store water in the machine between uses? What is the color of your machine? Once I have the information above I will have a better idea on how to assist you." 3. "Thank you for reaching out to the Waterpik Product Support Team. I’m sorry to hear that your machine isn’t working properly, but I’d be happy to help you look into this issue. Based on your answers, it sounds like the machine may not be making a proper connection to the charger. Sometimes moisture can affect this connection. We recommend ensuring this connection is always kept dry when you are connecting the charger. Ensure your charging cord is connected on a flat surface. Please note a properly charging machine’s LED indicator will glow as it charges. Improper charging may have a rapid, or inconsistent blink. Please use the following steps to try to return function to your machine. Unplug the charging cord from the outlet and remove it from the machine. Dip a cotton swab or clean cloth in white vinegar. Using the above, please gently clean both the connection on the machine itself, and the connection ports on the charger thoroughly. After cleaning these connections, please allow these connections to dry completely and re-connect the charger. The LED light should slowly fade from bright to dim while charging properly. After the charger ports on both components are cleaned and dry, please charge the machine for a full 4-6 hours. If the above steps are unsuccessful, then please let me know. If possible, please attach a short video of the machine’s lights while on the charger and when trying to activate the flosser motor. Once I have a little more information, I’ll have a better idea of where to go from here. I look forward to hearing back from you.

Designed to Satisfy! I have used this Waterpik ION for only a few days, and never have I previously used a water flosser. But this unit was recommended to me by a hygienist because of periodontal pockets. I had no idea how much I would enjoy using this Waterpik ION! Only required a couple of uses before I had the method down pat. I love watching the food particles getting flushed out from around my teeth! It feels very good when finished, and yes, it even feels good while it is doing its thing. I will be using this Waterpik along with brushing and string flossing. Looking forward to hearing the praise from the hygienist when I go back in 6 months! Everything about this unit is top of the line! * Added 5/1/25: After more than one month of constant use, I like it so much that I am already thinking about using the Waterpik before I am done with the meal! That is no joke. I have for years been a fan of toothpicks, but these days they take a backseat to my Waterpik. I try to keep it empty over night, and I have charged it approximately 3 times. This is an awesome, fun-to-use unit! I keep the pressure set at 3. The higher I set the pressure, I began to feel gum soreness, so I simply keep it dialed back to 3. YMMV, of course. :) * Added 7/22/25: Definitely continues to impress, to the point that I wonder why I never used a Waterpik before!? Pressure setting seems to have settled at a comfortable 4-5. I literally can't wait to see my hygienist in a couple of months and to hear her feedback/praise for how much less work she will have to do on cleaning. * Added 9/22/25: Remember to clean this unit with a diluted white vinegar solution (per user manual) to ensure proper function and product lifespan! Mine was developing a gunky brown color around the sliding ON/OFF switch that washed right away when soaked in the vinegar mixture. * Added 12/25/25: Nine months after purchase and I am just as impressed (or possibly more so) than when I initially purchased. It is such a useful tool for dental hygiene. I have gradually increased the pressure setting from 3 to a comfortable 6. It really knocks those food particles out. In no rush to increase the pressure beyond 6, but I probably will at some point. This Waterpik in no way hurts my gums, which used to be sore and sensitive. Only sorry that I didn't discover this product sooner. :)

But,...after looking for a while for a good water pick I have to help the next one who may be looking. I was using an older version, which was a lot noisier, and it had a way messier piping arrangement. It also had to be plugged into an AC outlet. With this one, all of these issues are solved and solved well. 1] No need for AC power. The battery lasts for more than a week. You can move it to a charging location without the water tank so no spillage risk. BTW with the previous one, the AC cable was too short, so the water pick could not reach and set at my sink side (we have two). 2] The water pipe is ingenious. It's pre-curled and the handle sticks to a magnetic area in the base. The water pipe did not lose its curly flexibility, which I expected to happen, and the white pipe took no space on the countertop. It's like magic. 3] I'm not sure it was the intended feature, but there is a double start operation of this unit. So you first push a button on the base top, and then, when the pick is in your mouth, you can start the water operation. This is great as it avoids squirting water everywhere in your bathroom. I'm sure I had a few accidents where water went in the wrong direction and left me with a clean-up. 4] The power of the water coming out, is great. Can be a little too much if you have very sensitive gums. There is a way to control this power on the base. 5] The key for me, after buying the hand-held ones, and returning them, was the amount of water that was in the container. All these handhelds do not have enough water for me. Sorry. This unit's tank size is perfect. I do not have to re-fill mid-way and can use it for cleaning up at one time. This was a key feature I was looking for. All in all, this is a 10 out of 10. or 5 out of 5 in the Amazon system. It's a good product. Will buy again in a heartbeat.

I bought this almost exactly a year ago. Like some others I knew the Waterpik name and bought the best one they make, can't go wrong, right? It works, boy does it work! Don't set it on high settings at first! The volume of water it uses surprised me, felt like I was being waterboarded a few times, LOL However, it works out about right, a tankful per cleaning. I can't say I noticed much difference in the cleaning tips and feel they serve no actual purpose. I bought this because I have a bridge and flossing can be a challenge there. I used the device and then went back and flossed my teeth, it worked OK but I'd say flossing works better. The main reason for the two star deduction is the charging port. Like many others have reported, it corrodes badly and gets pretty nasty looking. I'm actually surprised it still works, based on the level of corrosion I have seen. I have many devices that run on batteries, razor, hair clippers, nose clippers, and a toothbrush. They are all exposed to far more moisture than the Water Pic and I have seen no corrosion at all, Now that I think about it, the WP rarely gets wet at all, aside from the occasional splash. These guys have been doing this a long time. they should be able to make a charger that doesn't corrode or easily get disconnected!

Nice water pick. Adjustable pressure. The pick itself is magnetised so easy to place back on the stand after use without any trailing wires. Charged up from usb and retains its power a long time so you don’t have to charge it very often. It’s a little more expensive than some others. But looks neat on top of my mirrored cabinet as it is fairly compact.

Très facile à nettoyer, ce qui n’est pas le cas des hydropropulseurs sans fil. Il est performant et peu encombrant. Une fois chargé, vous pouvez le ranger au lieu de le laisser sur le comptoir (on peut dire qu’il devient lui aussi sans fil). Il est mentionné qu’il reste chargé pendant 4 semaines mais comme je l’ai depuis le 1er juin seulement, avec un usage de 1 à 2 fois par jour, je ne peux confirmer. Il est vrai qu’il est un peu bruyant mais il est très efficace avec la puissance du jet qui s’ajuste selon vos besoins. Je le recommande fortement.

Lo iba a devolver porque según las instrucciones si eres nuevo con estos aparatos, debes usar el mínimo nivel, y eso hice, pero me decepcionó que no sentí limpieza alguna, le di otra oportunidad pero al máximo nivel, y si no lo hagan me lastimó y me sangro las encías, después le baje al nivel 6 y WOW!! limpio, luego use mi cepillo eléctrico oral b y doble WOW!!! La sensación de la boca recien lavada me duró todo el día, pero enserio todo el día. Creo que este waterpik con un cepillo eléctrico son el duo perfecto, tembien compré esos aparatos ultrasónicos para quitar el sarro, creo que con esos no iré al dentista en un muy muy largo tiempo. Usa agua tibia como se recomienda si eres nuevo en esto, es muy sensible la boca al agua fria.

VERY PRACTICLE IN SIZE , CORDLESS AND BATTERY IS LITHIUM ION - LASTS DAYS. BEST OF THE BEST. VERY VERY RECOMMENDABLE. WORKS EXCELLENT.
