Absolutely great little product! My folks bought it as a birthday present for my 8 year old son. It comes in a cute little lunch box package & each tool is in it's own box. Everything fits together perfectly & it's easy to take with us everywhere... and believe me.. he takes it everywhere! They are actual quality tools but are made for little hands & are durable. Only the fan requires batteries. I strongly recommend this product as a gift for any little explorer, nature lover or bug & animal enthusiast! Great buy for the money.. totally exceeded my expectations!

IF you're like us, you have no shortage of toys in the house — legos, Paw Patrol, stuff animals, etc etc etc. So when birthday No. 3 came around, we went looking for something a bit different. That's when we found the Explorer Kit. I knew it would be perfect. Our son loves walking the trails in the woods near our how. Now he has the perfect little companion to make those hikes even more entertaining. The binoculars are definitely his favorite, the multi-tool with the whistle being second. The little carrying case is great. Each of the included pieces is well built. Take the fan for instance: We have one from work and this little one for kids works infinitely better than that one. You can buy this with confidence!

I bought this for my niece for Christmas (she's 6), and everything in the kit is pretty good quality, considering that it's meant for kids. The binoculars are really good, the compass is high-quality, and the whistle even has a mini compass on it. My only complaint is that after about a month and a half, the flashlight no longer works. It did work when we first got it, but now no matter how much you crank it, it won't hold a charge. But overall, it's still a good package, and my niece had it out the other night and told me she was pretending to camp with her explorer's kit. My goal in getting this for her was to inspire her to want to get outside more and explore, so it seems like it did the trick!

This set was completely awesome, a huge hit for the little one, only problems the fan. It stopped working one day and I figured it was time to change the batteries. That in itself is very difficult. The way they are supposed to fit was complicated to say the least but once they were fit and ready to go the fan would not re start. My son was pretty disappointed tried repositioning and even bought high priced batteries to no avail the fan either stopped working after about 5 days or the layout for the batteries made it impossible to change them. Otherwise it’s an awesome set it’s been a couple of months now and the flashlight has faded but still working.

I am going to be one of those people who say, “they never leave a review...” because it’s true. I had to review this item because it’s simply amazing. My 4.5 year old is obsessed. Each item in the kit is high quality. They are individually boxed within the storage container, making it fun for him to open. The best part is that we can store everything in the tin box when we are doing exploring. My son’s personal favorites are the binoculars (comes with a string to wear around neck), small fan (batteries included!), and the compass (contains a whistle in case you got lost...I mean cmon!) Great buy! I plan on buying it for future birthday gifts!
