Great Head for the Money-Same Results As My $300 Head
I shoot professionally for our company internationalpress.org and cover many events. When covering trade and consumer shows I have to take lots of heavy gear and lately have stopped because of the weight. I have a Manfrotto Tripod with a very heavy head and it doesn't allow me to get those nice smooth pans and tilts. So I tried this one and for the cost, I had nothing to lose. To my surprise and from reading the reviews about it being plastic, I found it well made and much lighter than the others I have. On the bottom you have the 1/8" screw mount and you can take that insert out for the larger 1/4" tripod thread. Once mounted with my Nikon D7200 I found it very responsive and very smooth and liked the easy adjustments on the tilt and pan. Took it outdoors to test it and it worked perfectly. Lighter weight, low cost, good build make this head a keeper. I have over 300 videos on YouTube with millions of views and I would recommend this to any novice or pro. A good value for the money
This item IS NOT a Cartoni or Libec head, not even close, but for $35. 00 or so, it seems pretty good to put the newest generation of personal HD cameras on. It is smooth, offers enough resistance and drag to make movements quite fluid, and altho' it is plastic , it seems sturdy enough unless you are really rough on gear. For this price I got more, much more than I expected. I have this on a set of Gitzo sticks, and even tho' I have had it only a few days now, I am happy for now.

Not my style.... plate.
For the most part this is an ok head for infrequent and light use. The little adjustment knobs are very small and my hands are big so, itโs difficult for me to adjust. The fluid aspect, the smoothness of tilt and pan is excellent. If you use a large plate, and you shoot video occasionally, this might be the head for you. It seems well constructed and itโs delivered well. I do not use a large plate. I use a smaller Peak Design plate. I just couldnโt get the plate tightened to my camera tight enough to suit me, or to engender trust. It all functions well, if you use a large tripod plate. Iโm giving it to one of my photographer buddies. He will like it and use it. Here is what my Buddy had to say.... Finally had a chance to play with that head this afternoon, here is what I think in a very small nutshell. Review of the Kingjoy video pan head, This unit is light yet very sturdy and appears well made. The overall function is reliable for itโs intended purpose and is quite easy to use. The only negative I have found with it is in the fine tension adjustment knobs, I find them to be almost too close to the gross adjustment screws for my fingers to use them easily. However, once the fine adjustment is set there is really no need for re-adjustment because they stay where you set them. Although it is made from a composite the movement is very smooth, no jumping is detected in the final video while panning in any direction. I would have to recommend this unit if youโre in the market for a good video head and have a restricted budget.

Great for Beginners
For the price this head is excellent - it's very well built and pretty solid feeling, even more so than some of the more expensive fluid heads I own. I've used some other ones that are a bit jolty due to the quality, making it possible to get okay shots but not great ones. I didn't experience this with this head, it both pans and tilts incredibly smoothly, much more so than I would have expected at this price point. The only thing that isn't entirely smooth is the mounting plate, it can be a little difficult to get back onto the tripod but it's not a big deal. I do appreciate that the mounting plate's screw has a little flap to help you attach it to the camera, instead of having to use a screw driver. It also has a cork covering to protect your camera, which is a very nice touch as well. Overall a professional photographer will probably want something more solid, but this is a very good option for beginners.

Limited usefulness
This was an improvement for video over using a ball head. No doubt about that. At short or medium zoom it performs adequately. My work, though, involves a lot of long zoom shots, mostly birds. For that, this head shows its limitations. The drag is too sticky for fine adjustments at long zoom. The drag adjustment knob for panning is OK, but the knob for tilt is so stiff I'd need a pair of pliers to move it. Then the lock knobs don't lock the position in place, they move it. Tighten the lock knob for pan or tilt and you've lost the subject out of the frame. Result, a lot of frustration. Bottom line, you get what you pay for.

Awesome price, great pan and tilt, overall a excellent piece of equipment!
This cool and simple fluid head is perfect to get those nice smooth shots. I use this head for my DSLR slider and also getting nice B-roll. The panning and tilting of the head can be easily adjusted to your liking. The handle with its soft foam grip is smooth and easy to pan and tilt the head with ease. The quick release plate is a bit tricky to get in the head sometimes but locks in great when seated properly. Overall this Video Camera Head is perfect for getting the best shots possible with your camera even when its construction is mostly all plastic.

Not great... but a solid performer with no real flaws at this price-point
It works exactly as it should.. operation is straight forward, smooth fluid motion once set up correctly, It apperas to be well made... I can not think of anything i would change aside from the cork top, but that is more personal reference than anything else... If you want more, pay for it... but if you are looking in this price range... go ahead and buy, there is no reason why this will not get you very close to where you want to be.

Can't Go Wrong for the Price
I give very few five-star ratings; only when thrilled. This is a very solid head with good design and is very well-suited for my DSLR videography (Canon D60). The head rotates smoothly in both axes with no discernible binding. I am able to pan smoothly without jerks. This is a big improvement over the 322RC2 Manfrotto head attached to the garage-sale Manfrotto legs. The old 322RC2 is more of a tilt and position rig, not really for panning. The manual labels this a Bird Watching head. This is also a hobby and I think the head would be suitable for all but the very largest spotting scopes (the ones you leave in the car because they are too heavy to carry around. Any case, I see no reason it will not work for most of the DSLR and camcorder market. A large video camera might be a challenge but if you are dropping several thousand dollars on a camera a couple of hundred for a tripod head won't matter. It is mostly plastic but good-quality plastic. The manufacturer warns about extreme temperatures but the range is pretty good: -20C to 70C, about -5 F to 150F. My other equipment is not going out in that other weather. Another warning is not to leave it in sunlight or against the car glass for a long time. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase. If it wears out in a few years, I am more likely to buy a replacement than pay up for a Manfrotto head.

Not a Great Video Head but Cheap and Lightweight
I wasn't expecting a great deal for the price and bought it for using as a backup / second video head on a tripod and slider. The head is made of a hard plastic although the quick release plate is a softer material and distorts easily. I didn't have any confidence in it using my Panasonic GH4 mounted in a medium rig (4kg total), especially when tilting up or down as it can be seen flexing. In cold conditions the plastic is likely to become very brittle and break in use. Additionally, the QR plate only has a single 1/4 screw (it comes with a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter) so there is only a single fixing point to your rig or camera which leads to the rig / camera rotating on the plate (there is a retractable locking pin which may be suitable for some devices). Both pan and tilt resistance are adjustable but even at the maximum resistance the tilt won't hold position without using the locking screw. Likewise for the pan, to get good resistance you need to tighten the locking screw a little, which causes the pan motion to jerk. It does lock off quite well at just about any angle, but even with small gear I wouldn't have faith in the QR plate. One thing in its favour is being plastic its light, but even for very occasional video use I wouldn't recommend this. The quality is OK but it's more like a head you would get on a cheap tripod kit costing about ยฃ30 total. I have since returned the item and will purchase something made of metal as a backup / second head.
