Powerful charger to start car with dead battery. I like that its a manual charger. I have automatic chargers but I hate when you have a dead vehicle and you put the automatic charger on and it says battery has an internal problem and refuses to attempt to charge the battery. Often when the battery is dead the auto chargers will be confused into thinking there are bad cells or other issues. This manual charger will work on any battery and attempt to charge it and will also do a good job of starting the vehicle. Easy to use. Its timer operated so you don't overcharge at high charge rate. Its on wheels. Has extendable handle. Its relatively small and not overly heavy.

Seems to work as it should. Like the timer capability so you can walk away and/or leave it overnight to charge. Also has a hold function if you want to constantly charge/maintain a battery. Although the lowest settings is 10 amps which may be a little high for a maintain function. But overall a great charger.

I had the same identical charger when I lived up north, it had the same amperage settings, I had it for many years, it was made out of metal and when I retired and moved South I left it with my son-in-law because he has a lot of construction equipment. I decided I wanted one so I bought this one, it charges fine. Charging something fast isn’t the key, you’re supposed to start very slowly at a low amperage to start charging a battery and after a period of time you can raise the amperage up. If you try to put a battery on a high amperage charge right off the bat you’re going to damage the battery so speed has nothing to do with it.

Works great. Use it every day and no issues so far.

This is a good overall battery charger..However, this is not to be used with high end batteries. Do NOT use on lithium or high end AGM batteries that are sensitive. Put on lead acid or lower end Optina batteries is ok. This only gas a timer and no read out of voltage or current. I only has an analog guage that is very vague. Good for lawn mower batteries or others like it

Unit works perfectly for the most part. It has a timer , that doesn't seem to work , but that doesn't bother me much. I would like to see larger clamps on this unit. The ones that come with this unit , just barely with finangling , over top of a battery terminal clamp. I've had no problem starting a twin battery diesel.When the batteries were dead with this unit. Or turned all the way down to 10 amp And allow it to Charge all day.

I'm so sick and tired of all these "Automatic" battery chargers, that refuse to recognize a dead or low voltage battery. My old Napa box finally died after about 25 years .. probably just a loose wire, but even the new Napa transformer box comes as a kit, with too much plastic. And I gotta admit, I had a bunch of different Schumacher's over the years, that have largely proven to be unsatisfactory for various reasons over the long term, so I was understandably skeptical about this offering. So I think that maybe Schumacher pulled an old-timey engineer out of retirement, and tasked him/her with designing a legacy design transformer box, for the 2020's. Kudos to whoever that was. So with the plethora of de-sulfurization videos online, I thought, what the hey, will this box work for that? Well, on the 200 amp boost setting, it puts out about 19.5 volts .. probably a bit more if you're not 200' from your mains. So far, it looks very promising. Unfiltered full-wave D.C. may be the ticket. In any event, I'm so impressed with this compact modern transformer box, that I bought a second one, for a second location. Open the box at the bottom, and the completely assembled unit will slip out, standing up, and did I mention completely assembled, ready to work! Five Stars!

Just what I wanted no microprocessors just hook up select charging rate and set the timer. No digital readout that can not be seen in the sun. Battery charges or it does not. That is what I like.

Item was damaged and not working when it arrived in Australia. Now they want me to pay for the shipping of $179 to send it BACK! I really just want what I ordered working?? Looks like I have lost a few hundred dollars???
