I purchased this due to my recent dietary restrictions, I've been craving something chocolatey that was low on carbs & nut-free. I had never heard of sunflower seed butter before but I figured it would be nice to give it a shot. I'm very glad that I did! I want to be clear! This isn't sweet, if what you craving is something like a hersey's kiss that is not what this is. The unsweetened cocoa makes this more akin to a dark chocolate treat, with a slight bitterness to it. But the texture is very smooth and it was great on toast. Most importantly it for sure satisfied that craving for something rich and indulgent! I would for sure get this again (and I think I just might)

I really enjoyed this! I liked that it is not too sweet like Nutella and it still has that sunflower flavor to it. It works well in protein balls and of course on toast. It spreads just like peanut butter and there is no separation. I would say it's worth your money, especially if you liked something a little sweet that is still health conscious.

This is delicious. The sunbutter is perfect as exactly that, sunflower seed butter. It has an extremely mild cocoa hint. I love the taste of sun butter so this isn’t a big deal for me. I will eat it happily but it is labeled and marketed as chocolate sunbutter and there is no clear taste of chocolate coming from this jar. It’s fresh, spreads well, and tasty but it’s not chocolatey. If you are looking for a flavor similar to a chocolate hazelnut spread, this is not it. I still like it and my family enjoys the original so we will stick with that unless I hear it is improved and more chocolatey.

My daughter loves Nutella, but I don't love that it doesn't have a lot of protein and that it is loaded with sugar. I started buying this, and I do 1/2 Nutella and 1/2 chocolate SunButter. She loves it and I am happy that she has more protein in her diet. It is expensive, but I can't get her to eat peanut butter, so for me, this is totally worth it. The spread is great, and it is easy to get onto toast or to eat with apples and bananas as a dip.

I don't like it. Maybe I just bought a bad jar. But, it's bitter and gross. I've always loved every kind of nut butter, sunflower seed butter and chocolate nut butters, but not this. UGH! I don't recommend. Had to throw mine out. It's a food item, so you can't get a refund or anything. I see now that other reviewers didn't like this flavor either. I purchased this because of the great reviews and then I realized that this is just one of Amazon's TRICKS that I've always hated. The high rating is NOT for the Chocolate Sunflower Seed Butter. It is for the OTHER flavors. They lump the reviews all together, so you're fooled into thinking you're purchasing a great product, when it's FAR FROM! They do this on a lot of products and I wish they would stop it, because it just costs customers a lot of wasted time & money. I do not recommend this item! Thank you for reading my review.

I gave it 3 stars as perhaps this is personal taste but at first all you get is strong overpowering chocolate flavor and after a while trying to find the flavor you get a slight after taste of sunflower butter that can't compete with the chocolate. Disappointing. The texture is OK. A little grainy but then again I only took one taste as I wasn't looking for a chocolate spread with a touch of sunflower but at least equal seed flavor. Grainy was my first impression.

....You probably won't like this. Even though sugar is the second ingredient, it is markedly less sweet and much more chocolatey than Nutella, which I despise for its cloying sweetness. A couple of people found it "bitter" which would be somewhat accurate because it tastes like chocolate, not the sugar that most people like, hence why I love this product. It's also the best price as a general rule. Highly recommended if you like sunflower seeds and strong, dark chocolate flavors.
