Talk about an emotional rollercoaster!!!! Absolutely loved the story, the characters and how the story played out it’s was beautiful and these characters will be with me a good long time!! Sometimes reading books like this make you realise how lucky you are and how much you have you take for granted! This has definitely inspired me to take stock in what’s important especially considering the state of the world these days x read it! You won’t regret it!

I was unable to put this down. Great writing, fantastic characters. Loved it from start to finish! It will take me some time to get over it, i feel bereft that its ended!

I’ll be honest, I skipped a few chapters. While it features beautiful writing and a deeply emotional love story, the constant flashbacks didn’t work for me at all in the end. The narrative is split almost evenly between past and present, and just as the slow-burn romance in the present gained momentum, the timeline would switch, making me feel disconnected from the point of the story, which in my opinion was Noah and Georgia. Although it had caught me in the beginning, I struggled to stay invested in the 1940s love story after a few chapters. After setting the book aside for a few days, I decided to skip the remaining flashback chapters, which made the reading experience much smoother. So, while I’m giving this a 3.5-star rating. The present-day storyline follows Georgia, the daughter of renowned romance author Scarlett, whose own love story remains unfinished. Newly divorced and dealing with family issues, Georgia isn’t exactly in the best headspace to handle romance. But she agrees to let Noah, a writer with a talent for writing emotionally heavy books, finish her grandmother’s love story. Though Noah has never had a lasting relationship, Georgia and Noah unexpectedly begin to connect as they work together. This wasn't my first time reading something from this author, but it gave me mixed feelings, Rebecca's work thusfar that I have explored has blown me out the water, while every author has a hit and miss, this one was a slight miss for me. Her writing is compelling, and she knows how to pull at readers’ emotions and there are some powerful moments here, but the dual timelines here throw me off completely. I personally prefer contemporary romances, so the constant back-and-forth between timelines made it hard to invest in the historical love story, had it been a seperate book, I would have given those chapters all my attention. That being said, I was overall satisfied with the way it came full circle for Noah and Georgia. If you enjoy historical romance, you might appreciate the dual timelines more. This does not mean I did not enjoy this book. Noah and Georgia's storyline was something of pure persistent and love. A locked down Georgia and a "what will be will be" Noah balance each other out almost perfectly.

I really, really enjoyed reading this book. The story goes back and forth to WW2 and it really is a beautiful love story, beautifully written. BUT the thing that spoiled it for me (hence 4/5 stars), was the graffic sex! Was that really necessary? I'm no prude but it was excessive in several chapters which is a shame because I loved the story!

It didn’t make me sob like people online said I would , but I definitely shed at least 2 tears . I loved This book! Recommend
