Use mine mainly for truffle risotto (1 tsp for one pan of risotto/ 4 portions). Makes it so earthy and savoury and delicious. Truffle hunter is a quality brand and provides excellent products for a fair value. Any and all of their sauces and condiments are excellent. I’ve tried the oil, mustard, honey, salt, and of course, the dust. This truffle dust is nice on chicken, on eggs, in pasta dishes with tomato, cream, or pesto sauces, etc. Most savoury dishes can be enhanced with a sprinkle of this magical dust. Tip- don’t sprinkle directly over your cooking dishes as it is prone to absorbing steam/ moisture which will make it clump and cake and reduce its shelf life. Put it on a spoon before adding to your hot and steamy foods. Even though it’s in a jar, I also store the jar in a plastic bag to keep it as dry and fresh as possible.

Really pungent with a super umani flavour.Nice looking bottle with a flip top with either a dusting or a measure choice.Depending on how you use it ...would last a good while.Definitely restaurant quality in taste and appearance.

Firstly, I'm not recommending this brand or seller over any other. Delivery was prompt, but this is the first "truffle dust" I've ever bought and so I'm just saying that truffle dust generally it's great and there may be better ones but this one did the trick. Next, this isn't pure ground up truffle it's a mix of some truffle with flavoured mushroom and carob and a bunch of salt.... But it tastes great, they have captured the taste of black summer truffle wonderfully. I only received it the other day (missed delivery) but I the a bit on some plain oiled pasta last night and it was lovely. The strong truffle flavour is addictive, and so I've had some more this morning. Considering the price of truffle and how far a jar of this gets you it's a very good deal and I'm glad to have it in my store cupboard. Once opened the packaging won't conceal the smell... I can smell it through my cupboard doors and through the jar despite being in there with every other herb and spice on the planet. So good, but I makes me want to open the cupboard and eat it immediately. I know how truffle pigs feel. It turned basic pasta into something that felt like an expensive dish, so even if you're a bad cook who likes good food it's hard to mess up. If you haven't tried it, try some. I can't guarantee this is the best brand etc because it's the first one I tried but it definitely worked for me.

The intense truffle flavour is notable and surprising. I did wonder if this powder might be just a hint of truffle flavour. I was wrong, it has a strong flavour of truffles. I've added to a bolognese I made recently, I'd added chestnut mushrooms to my own recipe. Decided to add this truffle dust, only need a little, like when you add pepper to a dish. It enhanced the bolognese. I've also used for my mushroom omelette I made, just a sprinkle on top of the omelette whilst it cooked. The flavour was notable with just a little sprinkling. Great for those lovers of mushrooms out there. Pricy product, but it should last ages. As we know, truffles are expensive and rare to find. Need to get a pig...venture out into wood myself. Shhhhh.

I could only give it 3 stars as I, personally, do not like the taste of truffles. I know that it is unusual, but there yougo, everybody has got a different taste. I am not saying that there was anything wrong with it, just that I did not like it.

Really good truffle flavour. I took note of previous reviewers commenting on how once its opened the smell can be rather powerful. I simply unscrewed the lid, lifted a tiny bit of the protective seal, just enough to sprinkle a little amount, then left it in place to reseal the jar. You really do only need a tiny amount to add that something extra. It makes it very good value. I only bought it after trying the parmesan and truffle fries on holiday. Fries simply sprinkled with fresh fine grated parmesan and a sprinkle of truffle dust. Very posh cheesy chips.

I have always purchased truffle salt from local olive oil distilleries, but with this covid-19 pandemic, it’s hard to find what you need. I took a chance on this and was absolutely thrilled with the product! It smells amazing and has such great flavour that you can’t go wrong. I will absolutely buy this brand again and again!
