Works great, water actually boils.

A friend had one on a recent trip, and I HAD TO HAVE IT!!! Works great and I love the ability to pack it up so that I can have fresh water for tea that does not taste like a stale hotel coffee pot!

The pot is the best!! I use it when I travel with my husband as we boil water for his CPAP machine and when I travel with my friends, we use it for instant coffee.

The good: I bought this for a trip 3 years ago and was able to use it safely in a moving vehicle. I've used it ever since. Its convenient to set it up due to the auto shut off while I cook my food or even for food that just requires hot water so I can free up microwaves/stove space. One less thing to worry about watching. Its also easier to store away than a traditional kettle. I don't find the middle bends when I pick it up either. I also like that the plug can be removed entirely for storage. I'm docking a star for 3 reasons: 1) It has that problem with crystal build up on the bottom that all these products that heat up water with something underneath an aluminum pan tend to have, and the shape/size does make it a tiny bit annoying to clean due to this. Its not difficult, just annoying. The crystals do not effect the water taste. 2) The cover does not stay on the best so I either hold it down or open with my thumb depending on how much I am tipping the kettle. This is a minor complaint but worth mentioning. 3) The plug is easily its bigger draw back..its short and thus hard to find somewhere to plug it in. It's also very hard to unplug from the unit itself, I end up unplugging it from the wall instead to prevent touching anything hot while removing it or accidentally spilling hot water. If you have a kettle already, you probably don't need this unless you want to save on space. If you want this for a trip, I do recommend it.

Fits well & stays in place for a 10 lb cairn terrier. The fit makes it comfortable for her to walk, run and play. It is great for all night sleeping, no leaking

Fantastic travel accessory for those people who love their coffee, but often can’t find a pot in the room when they travel. They make great travel gifts.

Works as it’s supposed to. Un-expands to smaller size. Easy to wash. No weird odor. Also, pretty darn cute.

I was amazed at how hot the water gets. You definitely need to wash it thoroughly because of that plastic type of smell with the silicone but overall it was definitely a good deal especially if you're limited on space. I have not collapsed it yet to try that part but I don't doubt that it's going to be fine because it is flexible. Just be wary because it gets very hot and that steam when you're pouring it be mindful of your hand positioning. You may not want to open the spout too wide just enough to be able to get a good pour but be wary of the steam.
