75mm Large Prism Hanging Crystal Suncatcher Clear Sun Catcher Indoor Window

This is one of the few impulse buys that has genuinely brought me so much joy on a daily basis. Every morning when I wake up and go to the kitchen to make coffee there is a delightful little array of rainbows and glitters. By 10/11am they disappear. It’s a perfect little treat.

Heavy, love the prism of colors!

It’s great. It’s hanging on my deck, and beams in beautiful rainbows through my patio sliding glass doors all morning as the sun climbs in the sky.

I was not a huge fan of the packaging for these. They were part of our teacher appreciation gifts this year. But I liked the idea of them. I ended up tossing the boxes and getting gift bags. I swapped out the red string that looked kind of cheap and I used a silver silk nylon thread instead. (Replacing those was a pain though!) Some of them came with tiny metal hooks and others did not. The hooks were useless anyways, so I ended up purchasing some sticky window hooks instead. So basically, these were a lot of work, but turned out pretty with the upgrades. They do scatter light and create really pretty prisms. I think people will really like them.

As it turns out, I'm not the only one in the house who finds these aesthetic. Will need several more -- one for each window.

I was hesitant on ordering these because of the low price point. I honestly thought that the higher the price tag the better the effect (prisms are definitely much cheaper these days than many years ago). I love prisms and have many hanging all throughout my house and even some outside. The ones I typically have bought are ball or bell shape with many cuts so I didn't think something this long with few cuts would put out the same rainbows as the others. I was wrong in all my thinking. This one casts beautiful colors I had mistakenly bought 2 instead of 1 and the first one I hung had been packaged with a hanging cord, a prism hook and a key type ring which I wasn't quite sure what it was for. The other one I had bought (by mistake) only included the hanging cord but no prism hook so that was a little disappointing but no deal breaker. Both came in different boxes but both were wrapped in bubble wrap for protection and both produce beautiful rainbows. Would definitely recommend.
