EcoNour 2 in 1 Car Steering Wheel Desk | Car Tray for Laptop

I've owned this since February 2026 and have used it regularly for mobile work and lunch breaks. It makes a convenient little work surface when I'm using my laptop in the vehicle, and I've also used it plenty of times as a table for eating lunch. It attaches easily, feels stable enough for what it's designed for, and hasn't given me any issues. It's a pretty simple product, but that's really the point. It gives you a usable flat surface in the vehicle when you need one and then stores away easily when you don't. After several months of use, it's still doing exactly what I bought it for. No complaints.

By happenstance, I received two of these. One from EcoNour and one from NBBNSY. This will be a comparison review for my 2019 Jeep Renegade. To avoid excessive reading, the EcoNour is by far the better of the two for my,Jeep and my needs. Fit: The economic fits perfectly. Easy on, easy off. When installed, it's flat, level, and stable. The NBBNSY goes on easy but isn't a good fit. It slants forward and requires adjustment with cardboard as as swimming level. It has fallen or shifted several times making it unstable or untrustworthy. The surface: The EcoNour has a flat, smooth surface on both sides. If you need to sign a receipt, some documents or whatever, it's perfect. The NBBNSY model has a ribbed surface on one side and a grainy texture on the other side. The only way to write on top of this surface is to places something smooth underneath. This is very inconvenient. Features: The EcoNour has a flatter surface on one side (like a desktop). It has a long pen or pencil slot on the viewers right. It's not super wide so thicker pens will need to rest on the indention. However, I use a thicker pen for typing and it fits well. The other side also has an indention, but it's deeper, like for an eating surface. It also has a bilevel round invention foe a drink cup. The economic indent depth is 3-4 times as deep as the NBBNSY. The economic holds drink cups far more securely ☺The food surface indent is also deep and could hold a fair amount of spilage. The food side has a fairly deep comma shaped indent at the top of each side and on the writing surface side, they're round and slightly more shallow. The NBBNSY has a deeper intention on one side, a slight ridge and super shallow cup site. The only advantage the NBBNSY has over the economic is that it has a tablet or phone holding slot on both sides, with one side much deeper than the other. The economic has no slots to prop a phone nor tablet on either side. The NBBNSY has similar round indents one each side but they not big enough to hold standard sized paperclips. They're basically worthess. If you look at the manufacturer's supplied pics, you will observe the features that I discussed ... for both items. The EcoNour is by far, the better product. It's easier to clean, keep clean and the food side makes an excellent work surface as well. The larger, deeper indents are very handy. I can temporarily throw some change in the indents if needed.

This definitely solves the problem of having a temporary surface to place a quick meal on or a laptop or whatever when you're sitting in your car and not driving. This product has a clever design that manages to fit a typical steering wheel without any hardware and simply uses gravity and its own weight to stabilize itself. Not every steering wheel is the same in terms of diameter and thickness so it pretty hard to design something like this, which "adapts" to the existing steering wheel, and have it lay perfectly horizontal. Having said that, the instructions say to position your wheel in "negative" position - whatever the hell that means. The images show the steering wheel rotated 180 degrees, so I guess that's what they mean by a "negative" position. They say that rotating the wheel to its negative position ensures that it fits and lays perfectly horizontal Well I tried it with the wheel in its 180 degree position and its normal position and it has a slight incline towards the wheel of about 4 degrees - but I could not get it perfectly horizontal as it shows in the images even though it's supposed to fit my car's steering wheel according to the Amazon car database. My only two cons are that a) it did not lay perfectly horizontal as I described, and b) it would be nice if it were a bit deeper front to back. However, I still would recommend this item because, in my case, the slight incline was minor and with weight on the tray it does tend to settle more horizontally and flat-out. It's also lightweight and sturdy and for the price it is worth it. This tray does solve the problem of having a temporary flat surface so yes, I would recommend it to a friend.

I got this Steering Wheel Tray for my husband who works on the road. He absolutely loves it. One side is for eating one is for working/computer/paperwork. He has a huge work truck but it fits perfectly on his steering wheel. It is very durable and worth the price. He is very happy with the tray and uses it everyday. If you are in the market for a tray this one will not disappoint.

This steering wheel desk has been a really handy thing to keep in the car. It is simple, but it makes eating in the car or doing a quick bit of laptop work feel a lot less awkward. It hooks onto the steering wheel easily and gives a much flatter, steadier surface than trying to balance food, a notebook, or a laptop on your lap. I like that one side works well as a tray and the other side is better for writing or using a computer, so it feels more useful than a single-purpose car accessory. The little pen spot and drink area are nice details too, especially when I am parked and trying to keep everything from sliding around. It is thin enough to tuck beside a seat or in the back pocket without taking up much room, but it still feels sturdy enough for normal use. Easy to wipe clean, easy to store, and more useful than I expected.

The build quality is decent, just molded plastic, but adequate if it fits your vehicle. But, it's so small it doesn't fit my steering wheel, an F150. I also tried it on my girlfriends Honda and no dice. Neither steering wheel is massive. Apparently it does work for some and that's great but be sure of your steering wheel size before ordering.

Works well for the truck. Allows me to work on my patio when I need to. Not a fan of the cup holder though. Depends on your use.

Doesn't quite fit my steering wheel...should be more accommodating?

Highest level of comfort for working with laptop or dining while parking the car. Much useful for me during my long travel. Quality of the product find excellent. Well suit in to my Tata punch creative model. Recommending this product.

Great product. Only downside is it doesn’t fit my steering wheel very well. But other than that does what I need it to do while I’m in the field and needing to do computer work! Would recommend to co-workers!
