Great managed switch for a great price
The switch works great. I replaced a HP Procurve with this because the fans on the Procurve were were just too loud and I didnโt even utilize half of the 24 ports on it. The SG2008 works great with the Omada software controller and is super easy to manage. It does seem to lose some settings when using the controller instead of the standalone web interface but it still allows sufficient configuration for my home network with multiple VLANs. I am happy enough with this switch and the whole Omada ecosystem that I plan to get the SG2008p to add to the setup.

Good value, good performance
In my switch (heh) over to TP-Link and Omada management, I discovered this as a good replacement for the switch at my desk, where things at my desk connect to my network. It replaced a 7 port unmanaged switch of another brand and I was happy that it wasn't all that much bigger. Having some management means I can test some extra things out and use it in other ways, and I get an extra port. Most importantly, devices connected to it, through my other Omada 2.5G switch, and to my gigabit internet get the full gigabit internet speed. As of now, I don't need a 2.5G switch in this place, so the gigabit speed is fine. Overall satisfied. Will keep things going in this ecosystem.

Configured independently via the UI. The trickiest part is routing and gateways
The fact that you must save your settings by clicking on a save button is so 1990s. Until you save your changes to the flash no point in backing up your setttings.

Great POE+ switch!
Got this as a learning network lab equipment. This switch is feature rich. For a seasoned pro, this thing is great. But for a nub like myself, it is a fresh start! Recommend watching some YouTube videos for the beginners. That said, once you have set it up, you have a very good POE+ enabled switch which can be managed via the TP-Link OMADA free cloud. I do recommend getting this router with the entire line, ie., POE+ switch, controller and the AP.

Great small managed switch
So far, very happy. I was able to setup VLANs on it and integrate it from my larger downstream switches with no problem. No problems moving and deleting VLAN 1 to my own native VLAN. Apparentely I'm becoming a TP-link shop, I haven't tried the Omeda software yet, but my 3 switches all support it, so looking forward to that someday. The user interface is not super-sexy, but it's familiar to the other TP-link's I have (T1600G-28TS, TL-SG3428). I like it's features at it's price point, and the fact it has well lit LED's, and cables on the back. Feels solid, and no fan, but stays cool. Thinking about a second one already.

Really easy to add to an existing Omada system
This switch was incredibly simple to setup. It worked immediately on startup and after adopting into my existing Omada network and setting its IP address and port labels all was working perfectly.

Easily integrated into Omada network
I bought two of these. Quick way to include VLAN's and other management functions. Very easy to configure with Omada.

Perfectly described, and delivered next day - Perfect!
Reasonably priced - Perfectly described by the seller and delivered next day - you can't ask for more. This Tp-link Omada switch intergrated easily into my Omada controller software - available in seconds.

Works good. Requires IT knowledge to setup.
This one is managed though Omada, which requires firewall to have certain ports to be open. Otherwise, Omada won't be able to configure this switch. So, this is something that makes the switch installation a bit complicated. Not super hard to do so, but you'll need to know how to open certain ports on your firewall. Or, use this switch in self managed mode (i.e. without Omada).
