I got this feeder for my daughter's little feline princess to make life easier for all involved parties. Feline Princess cannot free feed because she doesn't know when to stop, so we had to set her up on a meal schedule. The comings and goings of the humans is different day to day due to work schedules, school schedules, and just life in general. Feline Princess does not understand that the humans aren't always awake or home when she decides she's been starving long enough and starts demanding her food. My sister has used this feeder for her 3 cats and recommended it for our Feline Princess. It was easy to set up, works really well, and has a lot of customization options as far as number, timing, and size of meal offerings. It holds a decent amount of cat food and doesn't take up much space in my daughter's room. Feline Princess no longer has to starve past her meal time and the humans don't have to worry about coming home to a hangry cat. All humor aside, this is a really convenient addition to our cat-owning lives. Cat gets fed whether we're home, awake, or just busy getting other things done around the house. I would buy this automatic cat feeder over and over again if I needed to!

This automatic Feeder is awesome. First, very easy to set up and get it operational... Second, the cloud services are worth the price given what I needed at the time (I did have a difficult time getting the SD Card to work) as I required access to the camera and recordings remotely. Now the story of why this feeder will go down as the best thing we've ever purchased for our animals. Our cat, a 12 weeks old playful tabby named Mango, ran away 3 days after we received the PETLIBRO feeder and unfortunately we had to leave our house for 8 days for a family emergency. So, we were not able to stick around and put food out while we "hoped" that he would return. Enter the PETLIBRO. I placed the feeder outside on our deck and scheduled the feeder to dispense food twice a day. I started with 2/12 of a cup per feeding as I did not want to overflow the bowl within the first several days and with the live camera feed, I was able to monitor the amount in the bowl and stop feedings as needed - great feature BTW. Low and behold, he returned 14 days later on Christmas day evening (video included) as I was notified by an alert on my phone. From that point forward he would return every night at the scheduled feeding time. I believe he heard the feeder dispense the food and that trigger him to come out of hiding (we have several foxes running around). We were not able to return home for several more days so the entire family couldn't wait each night to get the alert that Mango was back for more food and we all gathered around my phone to watch him walk around and eat. We when returned home the entire family set Operation Recover Mango in motion and used the PETLIBRO to alert us when he arrived - we set it up to feed 1/12 cup every two minutes and monitoring the camera during the 15 minute timeframe he typically came to feed. Needless to say it was a success and Mango is back home in his comfy cat bed. I'm surprised at how much food is kept fresh in its reservoir as it did last our entire trip (8 days). Its also very sturdy as it endured severe weather for over 10 days; multiple below 17 degree days, rain, snow, and high winds! It is now back inside and Mango comes running when the feeder starts to dispense food. Will go down in family pet history as a magical. Thank you PETLIBRO!

Update a few months after my original review One star, zero if I could. The machine completely stopped working a little over a month ago. I followed troubleshooting available online before emailing customer service. After a few emails exchanged with what was clearly an AI customer service rep, I got a human reponse. The human wasn’t anymore helpful than the AI and a lot slower to respond. A month later and there is no resolution whatsoever. Each reply from the human asked me to try yet one more trouble shooting suggestion, then asked for proof of purchase, then asked me to make drastic changes to my WiFi, then asked me for a video of the machine not working so that they could SEND ME PARTS to repair it myself. So, a product that completely breaks after a few months and laughably terrible customer service. It’s really frustrating too because this product made life a lot easier for us and our dog. Oh well… Five stars based on a few things: 1. It works. It feeds my dog on time, every time and set up was a breeze, including syncing with the app and creating a feeding schedule. The feeding schedule was a little tricky to figure out because it dispenses in units of 1/12 of a cup and I am terrible at math :) But once I figured that out, easy-peasy. I like that you can skip feedings or do one off feedings with just a few taps. 2. The feeder communicates well with the app, as far as I can tell. I get alerts when his food his low, when the desiccant bag needs replacing, if the machine gets kicked offline, and if there is something stuck in the dispenser (this has happened once, with a piece of odd shaped kibble). 3. It "fits" the kibble we feed our dog. I was worried the dispenser wouldn't be wide enough, but aside from one piece of kibble that was odd shaped, we've had no problems. For reference, he eats Purina one chicken and rice formula. I decided to try this when my husband found out he would be traveling for a bit and we needed a way to feed our dog lunch on the days I was working in the office. It's positively changed our routine in terms of other feedings, too. It used to be that our dog would whine for food outside our bedroom door starting around 5:30 am every morning. We tried everything to break him of this, but no luck. I set the schedule so that he gets one half of his breakfast at 4:45 am and the other half at 6:00 am. This has worked like a dream. Now, I usually have to wake him in the mornings when I get up, around 6:45 / 7:00 am. The food dispenser is relatively quiet and we keep it by our backdoor. So, I don't hear it when it goes off in the morning but my dog does. One nice, unexpected side effect is that it keeps him from inhaling his food because it dispenses slowly. If helpful to anyone: my dog is a med to large, about 60 lbs., lab/retriever mix. We haven't tried using the audio function so I can't comment on that (I noticed a few reviews said it doesn't work). I think the true test will be how long it lasts. I've had it almost 2 months and so far, so good, but I'm really hoping it lasts us a good long while. In the meantime, very pleased and recommend this to others.

This is my 2nd petlibro automatic feeder, 4th item of theirs overall. I had my last one for like 6 years and it just gave up the other day, so its durable. I expect this one to last just as long. This one is great. Took no time at all to set up, set up seamlessly, and my cat is back on her schedule. (She free fed for a week and she was a little piggy.) It's quiet, except obviously the kibble falling into the metal bowl. I can fit a whole 3lb bag of food in there, so the size is perfect. Definitely worth the money. I tell everyone to buy petlibro items. Next purchase is gonna be the automatic litter box when I can afford it. HIGHLY reccomend. Customer service is amazing too.

The product initially worked well. However, I unplugged it while out of town and somehow the usb port is broken. It has a battery back up option, but it won’t stay on WiFi. I’ve been waiting over a week to hear back from Petlibro customer service. Petlibro scored an F at the Better Business Bureau.initially I was worried I was out of luck after discovering their BBB rating. It appears that Petlibro is trying to fix their customer service issues. I called in the middle of the day to follow up on my email. They were able to quickly look up my ticket with the photos I submitted via my initial email and asked a few questions to figure out how many parts were broken and shipped me replacement parts. The replacement parts arrived quickly.

It does its function well. The app is easy to set up and set a schedule. It might seem like a lot at first, but after you have it scheduled you think "that's it?" It comes with a metal bowl inside a plastic bowl. The metal bowl is lower capacity, for smaller animals, which makes noise when the food hits it, and the underlying plastic bowl is bigger. My cat was afraid of it the first time or two (it does make a grinding/whirring noise when dispensing), but then started getting excited when he heard the food being dispensed (except for the fact that it wasn't me dispensing it). It even lets you record your own announcement that the food is being dispensed. It has button controls, which I haven't tried extensively, but I think you really want the app for setting schedules and such. The app does give them the opportunity to "inform" you of their other offerings, but they're not persistent about it; it triggers at certain points in the app, but only once (from what I've seen after about a month of use). It doesn't show other ads (and if they add external ads, I will stop using it and severely drop the rating of this review). It will bug you to replace the dessicant packet once it's time, though. For those that need it, it can be set to dispense up to 4 cups at a time. I don't think the bowl it comes with could hold that much. For under a cup, it sets by 1/12 of a cup, which lets you set it right for "grazers" if you want/need; I haven't tried it, but I understand you can set it to dispense up to 10 times per day. Downsides: When closing the lid, it requires a specific position for the lock tabs to drop, and then you turn again to lock. This can lead to a lot of spinning the lid to close it The announcement speaker is very low quality. The first time I heard my custom announcement, it just sounded like a scratchy blob. Turning the volume up helps a bit, but max volume is still pretty quiet. In a time when you can get a cheap Bluetooth speaker that's better than the boom boxes of yore, it's hard to imagine that they couldn't find a half-way decent speaker that doesn't cut profits to a noticeable degree. The stock announcements are very matter-of-fact, and not how anyone would call a cat or dog for food. There's a man and a woman, and it sounds like they didn't know why they were saying the line; it's more like they're telling you to feed them, rather than calling the animal. This is something that they could fix with an update, and I hope they do. I think it would be a plus if there were multiple to choose from, each calling/telling the animal in different ways. I think it would make it more fun for a lot of people. They just need to be recorded by pet owners. Getting it to use the custom announcement took a few tries. It'll upload to the machine and show a checkmark, and you'll think it's done, but you need to tap that checkmark until a green icon covers it. It has to send the recording, and then the setting, to the feeder via Bluetooth, so it's possible that it might not happen right the first time. -- If I could give it an honest number of stars, it would probably be 4.7 or 4.8. I think it's a great machine and would definitely buy again.

We’ve had this feeder for over 2 years now and it’s truly awesome. We bought the expansion bowl for 2 cats and it really works wonders. Easy to set up and the app interface is easy to use. We’re buying another one for our third cat.

I have five cats and five feeders. I use them to make it easier for myself and so I can program them to feed my cats before my dog wakes up in the morning and after he goes to sleep at night. Otherwise, my dog eats all their food. I thought the feeders would be good for a weekend trip away, but I don’t trust them for that. Last night I just happened to look at the app and noticed none of the feeders were online. I thought that was strange so I started trying to figure out why and noticed the app was not working at all. I made the mistake of un binding one feeder so I could reconnect it to the app to see if I could get it to go back online and that is how I knew the app was down. I could not get the feeder set back up in the app or any of them to reconnect to the Wifi. The feeders will still feed even though they lose Wi-Fi connection, but you just can’t tell in the app, which would be kind of scary if I weren’t home. I woke up this morning and the app was working again and the feeders were connected again, and I was able to pair the one that I unbinded, but still, if I were away, I would not have known for sure if my cats were being fed. Other than that, the feeders work fine and really help with scheduled feedings.

Edit: Increase rating base on Petlibro wonderful consumer service. Brought up the issue to the original company and after reviewing the video to prove it was the base that was the issue, Petlibro sent me a replacement base. I just got it and it is working so far. Crossing fingers it last more than 2 years. Original: After 6 month of use (and it wasn’t set to go off everyday either), the motor is dead. I keep getting an error message on the app saying the motor is stuck and to clean out the feeder but that’s not the issue. I’ve tried cleaning the machine out and it’s not a food blockage. The motor just won’t turn anymore. I've tried gently turning the motor manually and it won’t budge. There’s no way to open the machine to look under the motor to see if there’s an issue too. Very disappointing. The feeder isn’t cheap either

I had initially thought that this was 6 packs of 4 each. But it's just 6 items in the pack for almost £20. I doubt that this costs more than 20p to manufacture. And they want you to replace them every 2 weeks!

Je l'utilise dans un appartement de 70m2 environ pour un seul chat, qui l'entend avant moi et se précipite en courant pour regarder les croquettes tomber dans la gamelle. L'application pour programmer la gamelle est simple à utiliser (j'ai la fibre), la gamelle se nettoie facilement et ça me fait un souci en moins à gérer lorsque je suis toute la journée au travail. Le seul petit inconvénient c'est que j'aimerais pouvoir réduire la portion car même au minimum cela fait beaucoup. Mon chat se régule et n'a pas pris de poids, je le trouve même moins glouton qu'avant, comme s'il savait que de toute façon sa gamelle se déclenche trois fois par jours.

Great product

El alimentador llegó en muy buenas condiciones y en tiempo. El producto es bueno. Es fácil de lavar, fácil de instalar y fácil de programar. Ya funcionando, trabaja sin problema alguno. Tiene opción de alimentación programada o manual a través de la app o desde el alimentador. Envía alertas programadas. En mi caso lo utilizo para mi gatita. Específicamente para control de alimentación y peso porque está esterilizada. Desde el punto de vista de mejora, al comprar nosotros croquetas pellet de 5mm, el peso del alimento que dispensa es de 15g por lo que (por indicaciones) solo podemos darle 65g al día. Esos 5g faltantes terminó dándoselos en algún momento del día, pero si me gustaría que para el aparato vendieran aparte un dosificador para comida y snacks, es decir que pudiera dispensar 5g y 10g y 15g para pellets de 5mm ya que con eso puedo darle alimento en el transcurso del día en pequeñas cantidades para controlar mejor su apetito. Fuera de eso, el aparato es un 10/10.
