The bulblplanter for tiny bulbs DOES exist and it's terrific!
When I found that the package of Chinodoxa bulbs I had ordered had dozens of tiny little critters that needed to be planted 3 inches deep, my heart (and back!) despaired! Surely, I thought, there must be such a thing as a bulb planter for tiny bulbs. My local store said no, but when I looked on Amazon, there it was. It's called a "dibber" and it's amazing! You poke it in the ground, wiggle it around a bit, move on a few inches, and after you've poked about a dozen holes, go back and drop in the bulbs. Then repeat till finished in record time. Easy peasy. The dibber is marked on the side for depths so no need for a ruler. I found this much easier than planting all the daffodils I'd ordered using a regular bulb planter. Now I'm just waiting for a glorious spring.

Solid wood and nice size.
Perfect for small raised beds or planting areas. It came natural and unfinished so I finished with a water base polyurethane gel so it will last in wet conditions.

Perfect for planting smaller bulbs in the soil
This simple tool works great for planting small bulbs and seeds. It makes fast work of punching in lots of small groupings of crocus, allium, chionodoxa, squill, species tulips, etc. Much easier than digging around with a shovel

Great gadget
Use all the time. No guessing hiw deep to plant and makes the hole

Too large for small seedlings
It's a beast of a Dibber! While quite sturdy, it's really only useful for pushing largeish holes in soil.

It would have been 5 STARSe tove
But for the markings starting at 1inch upfrom the bottomWhat happened to 3/4 1/2 1/4 and 1/8th...?....this is maddening...It starts at the top at 7 in. and goes down to the bottom in 1 in. increments...the bulk of my gardening involves less than an inch plantings...In the interest of PRECISION which is what I bought this for in the first place, i'm still in a guessing game ...Sooo I wasted my money until I add on the missing fractions w/ a magic marker...(the markings are barely visible, NOT etched, but VERY lightly printed) so i'd have to go over the no.s in black ink anyway...otherwise, GET OUT THE GLASSES!...Could have done this w/a pencil w/o blowing $10 bucks, but I thought i'd give myself a treat...

Hard to read the numbers
Wish the print was darker since I can’t see the numbers when it’s got dirt on it. Overall, a useful tool
