Great backyard bird feeding product
My wild birds love these at the feeders. I have to treat them with a hot sauce treatment as the squirrels love them as well. Now, if I could just find a way to keep the grackles away from them. A great, clean feeding product at a reasonable price for backyard birders.

Best Price I’ve Found — Birds Love It and the Bag Is Great
This is the best price I’ve found for a 5 lb bag, and the quality absolutely holds up. It attracts LOTS of bluebirds and woodpeckers, far more consistently than other blends I’ve tried. The birds go crazy for it. The bag is sturdy and reseals easily, which makes storage simple and keeps everything fresh. I go through it quickly because the birds love it so much, so I reorder as soon as I run out. In fact, I use the subscription for convenience and a discounted price. Overall, it’s a great value, great quality, and a guaranteed hit with backyard birds.

Convenient and Fast Protein to Enjoy Wildlife
I’m enjoying giving birds some protein equal to gathering insects. It’s not like I’m squeamish to live things. I grew up gathering all sorts of creatures and made them cardboard homes. I take a disposable cup of these dried worms along with a larger cup of various bird seeds. Squirrels get fed along with beautiful pairs of nesting cardinals, wrens and another pair not identified. I don’t care to attract ants by scent of foods. The meal worms serve the purpose of good protein for birds and the squirrels. In return, the birds put on a show to attract my Yorkies from their perch lookout. I like your product of mealworms, knowing how this helps wild birds. I’m bound to always drop a couple of mealworms and my pup enjoys finding them. The protein does no harm.

Bluebirds love these!
These are definitely a good choice. I believe they are much healthier than what I have found locally. I purchased these for the bluebirds nesting in our yard. They love them! It has been colder than normal in northern Florida and the insect population lower than normal. So these have helped and four eggs hatched and all babies survived. It was fun to watch the parents feed them and teach them how to get into the feeder to get their own. The four babies are now basically on their own and they all come to eat the ones I sprinkle on the porch within 3-4 feet of me siting in my chair . As do the parent who are incubating more eggs! So much fun! I monitor how much I give them as it is important that they learn to find their own food and that they have a variety etc. If you are going to supplement their diet, I believe these would be a very good choice.

Great deal
Birds loved them, the grackles a little too much, but hopefully they’ll be gone soon. Only reason I didn’t give this five stars. I sometimes find it hard to reclose the bag.

Clean, crisp, and protein-packed—Hatortempt mealworms bring birds flocking and wildlife thriving.
🐦 Hatortempt 5L Dried Mealworms – Full Review These mealworms are a top-tier protein source for wild birds, robins, hedgehogs, ducks, and even reptiles. The 5L tub contains 820g of dried mealworms, packed with 52% crude protein, 20% fat, and 10% fiber—ideal for supporting feather growth, immune strength, and energy levels1 2 . They’re 100% natural, non-GMO, and contain no additives or preservatives, making them a clean, safe supplement to standard bird seed. The worms are quick-dried for crispness and flavour, and the resealable zip-top bag keeps them fresh without refrigeration2 . Birds love them—expect robins, blackbirds, starlings, bluetits, and bullfinches to flock in. They’re also suitable for hedgehogs, chickens, ducks, and turtles, making them a versatile grab for any wildlife-friendly setup. ✅ Pros 52% protein—supports growth, energy, and feather health Non-GMO, no additives—clean and safe for all wildlife Long shelf life—resealable bag, no refrigeration needed Versatile—suitable for birds, hedgehogs, reptiles, and poultry Attracts a wide range of species—great for garden biodiversity Trusted brand—Hatortempt’s quality control is solid1 ❌ Cons Not the cheapest—premium quality comes at a price Can attract pests if left out too long Some birds may prefer soaked mealworms—dry texture isn’t for all 🧠 Personal Verdict These mealworms are proper wildlife fuel. I’ve used similar tubs for bird tables, hedgehog feeders, and duck ponds, and they deliver—clean, high-energy, and well packaged. The protein content is spot-on for winter prep or nesting season, and the resealable tub makes storage easy. For around £9.99–£14.99, they’re a smart grab for anyone serious about supporting garden wildlife.
