Alpha Skin Care Revitalizing Body Lotion, 12% Glycolic AHA, 12 Oz

After trying body lotions ranging from $5 to $50 for my dry crepey skin, this $22 dollar Alpha Skin Care lotion is the one that actually worked. I bought this a couple months ago and only started using it a few weeks ago, and I am upset I waited that long. I have tried so many oils and creams for crepey skin and none of them made a visible difference. This one did. The formula uses twelve percent glycolic AHA and it is a thick cream consistency, not watery and not greasy. It has no fragrance at all, which matters a lot to me since I have sensitive skin. Even with sensitive skin I have not had any irritation. I apply it right after my shower while my skin is still slightly damp, and it absorbs quickly without leaving that sticky film some lotions leave behind. Who this is good for: anyone dealing with dry, crepey, or rough textured skin who wants gentle exfoliation built into a daily moisturizer. The only con I have found so far is that I have not noticed dramatic exfoliating results yet, but the hydration alone has already made this worth every penny especially for the bottle size. Tip: apply this within a few minutes of stepping out of the shower while skin is still damp. It locks in moisture so much better than applying to fully dry skin.

I bought this based on a review that suggested trying this product instead of one skin’s nearly $100 body lotion. I was skeptical that it would make much difference, but after just ONE use, I’m honestly shocked at how soft and smooth my skin looks. I have really, really dry skin and I’ve started to notice some creepy skin on my forearms and around my knees. I have tried oils, exfoliation, creams, and every drugstore lotion with little to no change in the texture and appearance of my skin. HOWEVER, I used this Alpha lotion when I got out of the shower today and I am so happy with the results. It burned like mad for about 5 seconds after applying—especially on my legs—but all creepy-ness is gone and I have a legit glow to my normally dull and dry skin. I’m shocked, lol. It does feel maybe the slightest bit sticky/tacky after applying, but not to a point that is bothersome to me. I am so happy to have found a lotion that works so well, especially when it is 1/5 the cost of others like it. I have had it on for a few hours now, and my skin still looks glowy and moisturized. Sometimes non-scented lotions still carry a bit of a funky smell, but this has very little scent at all—nothing noticeable—and my riddle oil’s fragrance that I applied after wasn’t altered by the lotion at all. I am forever in the debt of the reviewer that suggested Alpha’s lotion. I love it. The one “con” I would say, if I can call it that, is that the bottle definitely isn’t completely filled. I’m not concerned enough about it to see if what’s inside equals 12oz., but I was surprised to see, as others have pointed out, how much empty space is at the top of the bottle. So far I like the lotion. Used half and I’m not experiencing any flaking skin so happy with the lotions moisturizing abilities. I have very dry skin and apply lotion every day. Unsure about value for the money due to the amount that I use daily. The effectiveness of the moisturizing lotion seem to be very good, I confirm the lotion is non-greasy, spreads very well and is unscented. I wouldn’t mind if the lotion did have a soft scent. No skin irritation, color is white, drys quickly.

I had a lot of sun and was peeling with dry skin. As soon as I received this product I placed on my legs and arms and they feel so smooth and soft. The peeling went away immediately. I don’t know if it exfoliated or just smoothed out but I don’t see it and my limbs feel good. I use it every evening. Good bottle size and the ingredients are trusting and supports exfoliation. The value for the product is worth it and there is no leakage. The amount coming out with each pump is perfect.

I have very dry skin, KP and a few spots of psoriasis. My KP is my primary concern since it's all over my arms and legs. This product has my skin feeling softer than I have felt it in a LONG time. Some noted a sting when applying, I did not experience this. Little to no fragrance. Even my spots with psoriasis are much softer with little to no itch. Highly recommend and will purchase again!

Lotion seems okay so far; unfortunately, though the pump was secured down with plastic very tightly, but it never popped up, so is useless as far as pumping product out of the bottle. I had to transfer the lotion to another bottle, very inconvenient.

It’s more of a treatment than a typical lotion—and it delivers.

I've been using glycolic acid skincare products for more than 20 years because of their proven ability to gently exfoliate dead skin cells, promote healthy, faster skin cell turnover, and help maintain smoother, younger-looking skin. Although this product was new to me, I've been using it for only two weeks and have already noticed a visible difference. The skin on my hands, arms, and legs looks smoother, healthier, and has a noticeable glow. The lotion absorbs well and leaves my skin feeling soft without being greasy. I'll definitely continue purchasing this lotion. Considering the 12% glycolic acid concentration, the price is an outstanding value compared to many other glycolic acid body lotions on the market. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an effective exfoliating body lotion.

I'm happy the person who told me about this didn't gate keep. I'm loving this product. My face lightened up in two days! (I'm a person of color). It's a bit much for the face, thought I could have gotten away using it from head to toe. I will not continue to use it on my face ( pretty strong for face use) I struggle with hyperpigmentation and this seems to be doing a wonderful job. I do see a faster result on my face more than my body. I will continue to use it on my body because it doesn't make my skin smooth, goes on light and absorb pretty fast. I wish I had a before and after photo to prove, but you will not be disappointed. It's working well for me. 🫶🏾👌🏾

It works

This lotion is moisturizing and I can feel how soft my skin the morning after. I usually apply it all over my body at night after taking shower before bedtime. The only thing I don't like about this product is that it feels tacky/sticky on skin and never dries up completely. The consistency is a little heavy and it leaves some gluey kind of feel on the skin. It feels like my skin can't breathe and sticking to my bed sheets.

I have just started using the lotion. The price fluctuations is terrible . It is very expensive. This is my last purchase..
