PIT BOSS 10697 Table Top Wood Grill With Temperature Control, Mahogany

After burning through 2 Traeger tabletop grills (used a couple weeks a year camping), I figured I would give the Pit Boss a shot. After all they are a bit less spendy. I read the reviews and looked at the negatives which I found a bit whiny. I mean come on, complaining about the sticker on the lid? Good grief, take it off before using the grill is common sense. Others obviously had never used a pellet grill before and complaints were inexperience related. The positives were encouraging. So, I bought one. Assembly - Followed the instructions. Easy and all parts and hardware were included. First Fire-up - Flawless start-up (again follow the instructions). Cooked off all the stuff from manufacturing. Cooking - Very good. Again, flawless start-up, cooked exactly as intended, results were excellent. Held temperature well. Better than the Traeger. Cleanup - Very clean burning, hardly any ash. Use good pellets. Longevity - We will see, but so far, I am impressed with the build quality. If you are looking for a small grill, this one is great. This is our take along for the RV. And it is perfect for our needs. Our large grill is a RecTeq, which we love. They are pricier and have more features, but that is expected for the price you pay for them.

Such a nice compact smoker. For two people it’s so easy! Temp has stayed steady, might have to change directions sometimes, but it’s great. Pair it with a nice wheeled stand and it’s perfect!

This little smoker is awesome. A true tailgater smoker. It gives a better smoke flavor than my larger home smoker.(Maybe because of the smaller grill area and total smoke box size). I had to cut a 20lb brisket in half and smoke each 10lb half individually. The brisket turned out great. The pellet hopper has many hours of smoking capability with temperature at 225°. You may have to plan your portions with larger cuts of meat, but this little smoker is awesome!

Delivered quickly and in good shape. Easy to assemble. This particular model's 2nd tier has legs sitting on the main level so using it takes away from your main grill surface. Otherwise it works very well.

Been using pellet smokers for twenty years and my current work horse is a Yoder. Having purchased a Travel Trailer for a months long trip it was a necessity to have a smoker along with us. I bought this with low expectations thinking it would work well enough for the price and our needs. Boy was I surprised by the quality and performance of this lil monster. Build quality and performance exceeded my expectations, I am a fan of this lil guy. Stores easily in a plastic tote when traveling between campsites. Get one you’ll love it

4 ☆ could turn into 5 once i actually cook something. So im starting this smoker for the first time. First i will say to those who say the hopper doesnt hold 7 lbs..... stop. I promise you this hopper holds 7 pounds. 1 pound of Pit Boss Cpmpetition Blend pellets measures out to 3 cups. The hopper will hold 21 cups aka 7lbs of pellets. Is there room to spare? No its full. Its not a 5lb hopper. Just doing the burn off. Priming the auger was easy. Waiting for it to start smoking for the first time is the hard part. So far in my limited experience my only complaint is with the label on the outside of the lid. The inside label is held on with magnets. Thats great. The outside label is held on with adhesive. Why? It would be ok if it were a realy weak adhesive but no. This stuff was super stickey and tore the label and left a lot of residue. Like i want to scrub the lid just so i can do the burn off. Hopefully ill come back and update after i have actually cooked something.

I got this for myself for Father's Day, especially since I'm in a townhome where I cannot use a propane grill within 10 feet of the property fence. This thing works flawlessly. I've used it 2x a week for the past 2 months, from burgers, ribs, grilled veggies, sausages, chicken wings, and more. it's really easy to use and I was surprised by how little power it uses. I purchased a budget wet/dry vac so I could clean it up regularly (the inside where all the ash and oil go). The HOA security came by and said someone called it in and he just wanted to make sure it was electric. I showed him the switches and plug and he was convinced so I'm good to go. Technically it's electric... and has live fire but they don't need to know that. Keep in mind you can open/close the vent for direct flame (be careful with oil droppings) or classic pellet grill smoking and cooking. I love this thing.
