I have 4 cats and 2 of them love to hurry up and eat their food then try to push the other cats away from their bowls and eat their food too. I purchased 1 set of 2 of these to see if I could help keep the 2 cats from rushing through their food and eating so much. I was nervous at first because all of my cats eat out of raised bowls but my cats love these feeding mats. I immediately saw a difference in their eating speed. It has helped them to slow down while eating and has stopped them running to the other cats' bowls to try to eat up their food. Now each cat has a chance to eat their own food. I recommend these mats if you have a cat that tries to eat up all the food from other cats. It has definitely improved their eating habits.

Thought I would try using Lickable treats on a mat instead of pushing it out. I love that I can throw these in the dishwasher and it looks like my cats love them too!

Doesn’t separate as much but works well.

One of my cats, Data, licks plastic when he's stressed - plastic bags, bottle wrap, anything he can get his tongue on. After some research, I learned this kind of texture-seeking behavior can actually be dangerous, so I started looking for a safer outlet. Since he already loves lickable treats, I got him both the fish-shaped and classic LickiMat, hoping he'd transfer that urge onto something safe --and it worked! Every morning I put out a freshly washed mat and spread his treats on it throughout the day. I've caught him licking the mat several times even when it's empty, instead of going after plastic. Exactly the redirection I was hoping for. The mat itself is thick, durable silicone that's held up well. It's not dishwasher safe, so I hand-wash it with warm soapy water and a sponge, which only takes a minute. There are no suction cups on the bottom, but it still doesn't slide around on our hardwood-look floors. Between the two shapes, Data seems to prefer the fish - I think it's because it has more texture variety than the classic mat's single pattern. Overall, well made, reasonably priced, and it's genuinely helped with my cat's stress-licking. My only wish is that it were dishwasher safe.

I am confident that Lickimat will eventually make a good lick mat for cats, and this one is half way there. It cleans easily, does not retain stains from food (as a different brand did), it slows down kitty's eating enough so that she does not scarf and barf.... BUT... It needs better edges. My cat always pushes chunks of her wet food onto the floor as she licks the mat. Also, it is a little too floppy. I put cat food on it, and as I bring it to her feeding spot, if I'm not holding it just right, it flops downward towards the floor, spilling the food. It is SO CLOSE to being well made that it is frustrating Lickimat didn't go the extra step to fix those issues.

Well, these things were a hit! I don’t know how I ever did without them. But the cat do love these things. They are the perfect size. And I love the colors. And they were worth the investment.

Worked exactly as expected. Smeared wet food on a portion of the fish and put a blob in the middle to get things started. At first he gobbled the blob and quickly went over to the other cat's plated food as it was easier to access. Using my superior corralling skills he finally got the hang of it. It slowed down my rescue cat so the others had a slim chance to get a few bites in before he descended on them like a vulture to devour their food. I'd read about these but finally took the bite (ha,ha!) during Prime Days. Love the bright colors. Super easy to clean. Just rinse off and do a quick run through with a soapy sponge. Good value, great price!

EDIT, 6 weeks later: I wouldn't recommend this product - In terms of quality, it does NOT hold up in the long run. I purchased it just 6 weeks ago for my energetic cat, hoping it would help burn off some of his energy. The product worked in this regard. However, I agree with other reviewers who have said that their silicone mat started to develop black spots on the back, indicating the presence of mold. This silicone material gets moldy. Despite the fact that, as soon as my cat was done eating, I'd wash the mat! I ended up throwing it out for safety and hygiene reasons. I purchased this product to help burn some off of my very energetic, newly adopted 3 year old cat’s energy, not so much to slow down his eating. I’d say it took him about a week to get used to having to work harder for his food, but he eventually got it, and uses it just fine now! I think it’s great that it makes him work just a bit more physically and mentally for his food, getting into all the crevices, as he would in the wild. I serve him a pate wet food, and agree with one other user who said that with this texture of foods you should expect 1 teaspoon or so of food waste (morsels of food get stuck in the tiny corners). Just a heads up!

I absolutely love these lick mats. I got them for my first cat as a kitten for when he got neutered. Knowing he wouldn't be able to lick himself for a week but he could still get the sense of it with a treat or food and a lick mat. I then started using the mats with my new kitten who eats faster that my cat. I love that they are easy to use and easy to clean. In the summer, I'll mix a churu with some water, pour it into the lick mat and freeze it so my cats have a cool treat on a hot day. I highly recommend especially for indoor cat owners!

Ho un gatto esotico con il muso schiacciato da una portiera ed è faticoso trovare delle ciotole adatte. Questa era piatta e in gomma e speravo mi evitasse lo spargimento di croccantini per casa. L'ho comprata anche perché l'idea alla base è davvero interessante ma, il mio gatto non era dello stesso parere. Forse non ha apprezzato il materiale gommoso e a dire il vero neanche io perché non è lavabile in lavastoviglie. Peccato davvero perché avevo alte aspettative.

This is a great mat. One of my cats vomits after eating and this has completely stopped that for her. This design is easy to clean. I have another design by this brand and it’s impossible to get food out but this one is fantastic. I ordered two!

I ordered two items and both were sticky and I can see my fingerprints on it,... which I think it is not very hygienic for my cats to lick on it. The fishes looks cute though.

Couldn’t believe my cats could lick off this but they did and love it. Not a drop left and they like it on their tongue it’s easy to clean and now I don’t have to hold the licky sticks.
