Awesome retro system. Some things are hard to configure.

Awesome retro system. Lots of games and lots of emulators. Only thing that I don’t like is that it really isn’t plug in and play. Most of the emulators are but like ps1, Nintendo ds,and n64 and psp games, they don’t make it easy to configure the controllers and also some of the games the sfx are on but no music in the games. Is there a how to for these or do I just fool around with the options and controls? Another thing is when tryin to connect a second controller, it messes everything up. Having to try and remember the config of the first one after it all changes from trying to configure the second one is a pain in the butt. Almost wanted to throw the damn thing across the room cause it was very frustrating. Any answers would help a lot. Lots of my favorite ps1 games no music only sfx.

The X pro is one NASTY LITTLE BOX

Was skeptical when I first started it 10 games out of 40 didn't work and of course these were 10 games I really wanted to play. However after studying the X pro I went in and changed emulators now EVERY GAME WORKS some do have issues lag, sound etc. but I have probably thus far tested and played a couple hundred games and almost every emulator and only had issues with about 5 so far... I wouldn't say that there is really 50,000 + games cause I do see doubles and repetitions on certain games However if I were to guess there are probably atleast 10,000 there maybe more but for the price and if you love retro games from the day it is more than worth it. I don't use the controllers that came with it cause they are not that good. I bought some $14 wireless controllers and they work well. NOTE: If you plan on tweaking ANYTHING on the settings you BETTER MAKE A CLONE OF THE MICRO SD CARD. That way if you mess things up and crash the program you will have a backup. OTHERWISE it will cost you $69.99 for a replacement card.

Once I changed the emulator it

Love it, but frozen meaning the controller does not work in a emulator (can not move in arch mode and struck), it works but have not played since 2nd week of getting it

Easier to just emulate the games yourself.

I'm just fed up with this thing. First of all, more than half of the games are Japanese only. It's cool to allow some of these games to be played but it's more a tease if you don't speak it because it makes the games unplayable. That's fine though, still plenty of games to play.Another thing is a lot of the games have no means to play them with the control setup. DS games that need touch controls, computer games that need a keyboard. They provide a keyboard overlay, but that doesn't make them any more playable. Still fine, lots of games with classic controls to play. But quite a few of the games don't even boot up. It's not uncommon at all for me to spend 10 minutes looking around and finally finding a game I've always wanted to play only to get an error screen on the loading menu. It's where the problem is starting to develop, so many options that you spend a lot of time looking, and a lot of time being disappointed. The system lineups are always missing some of the system's best games. I get this a lot especially with the Playstation one. Nearly every game I want to play on PS1 isn't there. Dreamcast has a total of like 23 games, and PSP is about the same. It really feels like this started out an ambitious project, only for the person to lose interest and say, "good enough"And the final straw is some of the time when you load a save state is goes back to an older one. I don't have gaming time like I used to and don't want to play the same parts over again because the saving mechanic isn't reliable. Emulate these games yourself on Retroarch(the app the Kinhank uses) and save yourself the money and headache.

PS1 and arcade sounds do not work alot of the time

So if you are getting this strictly for the older stuff like snes/nes/genesis and older... you SHOULD be fine. alot of the SNES games I tried, every one of them worked fine and sounded great. Emulation was on point. However, when I tried the PS1 and MAME emulators... seemed there was no sound or sound, but no music in everything I tried... which is kind of a letdown. even tried changing the emulators and it was still happening, and it's sadly an issue that seems to run rampant in these.I rank it low on sturdiness because the system came in with a buggy power-button that did not want to stay down. I had to mash it down a few times to get it to, what I can only assume, is popping back into place. Now it's working every time after I had to smack it a few times to get it to work, but you might not have this issue right out of the box like I did.The controllers and remote take 2 AAA batteries which are not included when you buy the system, so buyer beware and be prepared on that one. Have batteries ready to go before-hand. However, you can also just plug any USB controller into the system and it will work as well if the base controllers are not to your liking, which... I had very bad input lag with, so... might need more testing on my side with them to see if I can fix the latency issue.all-in-all, I do not hate it... and if you are a massive retro-gamer I'd still recommend it... and there's always the ability to add in your own stuff later along with updating the emulators later on to hopefully perform better. I'd say buy it if you MUST have it, but know the risks and issues that could come with it. do your research on it first and make sure it's a proper fit for you.

$100 retro console turns into $250 if you really want to play it.

Bought the console, set it up from the box, tried a few games on a regular TV.- The controllers don't work for a lot of games, and once you're in your locked, which means I have to restart the whole thing.- Others, on top of not responding, are so pixelated I can't read anything in screen, and no setting change helps.- Some games flat out don't load (N64's 1080 in photo).I looked around and apparently you need the 8BitDo controllers if you want to really play, and the USB dongle. That's about $120 total.I am now stuck with this $100 thing I can't play, and I am not spending close to $250 to okay retro games.Save your money while you can.
