Great Knife for Serious Filleting
This fillet knife has plenty of power and the battery life is solid. It cuts clean, stays consistent, and handles thicker fish without bogging down. The grip feels good in the hand and the whole setup is built tough. Great tool to have if you fillet a lot.

Great fish cleaning knife
Great product that really streamlines the work and time involved in cleaning many decent sized fish. I catch a fair amount of walleye on Lake Erie every year and this knife makes the cleaning a more pleasant shorter time duration task than hand filleting. I cannot recommend it on panfish but great for walleye, northern and other similar sized fish. Great battery life.

Fantastic knife
Powerful, long lasting, and SO much faster to clean fish! Never had battery give out on me, 30 perch/walleye no problem. I use these to remove ribs and skin from backbone then remove ribs from fillets with a 7" rapala fillet knife. Once you get the hang of it takes maybe 45 seconds a fish. That's a huge difference from before I had this electric (battery) knife. Have also cleaned at same table as a friend with the "other" top brand electric knife and I wouldn't trade based on performance. Only drawback is the blades are not as universal as the other knives. He can easily find less aggressive and cheaper replacement blades, but he paid almost 100.00 more. I highly recommend!

Not Heavy Duty
I decided to give this a try after using a plug in American Angler fillet knife for many years. The blade release on the first one I received was faulty and upon using it one time resulted in the blades being jammed in the knife. So, I sent it back and had them send a new one. After cleaning a few fish with it here is my honest review: Cons: - a thumb button instead of a trigger is extremely awkward and makes no sense in my opinion. But then again I’ve only used trigger ones. - even on the new knife, the blade release didn’t work well and half the time only one blade would come out. I cut my hand trying to wrestle with the thing. - even when the blades are clicked in, it feels like they aren’t. They don’t sit as flush as the American angler knife and if you’re the kind of person to bend the blade a little when filleting, you will definitely damage the blades or internals of the knife. There is also notable play in the blades. - the case is really nice but I wish it has more slots for additional blades. There is just enough room for what comes with the package and I think some extra space for a standard fillet knife or extra sets of rapala blades would be cool Pros: - it does cut fast, but nothing spectacular. If you are filleting anything larger than a perch, the knife will struggle. - two batteries is very nice and the charger is quick - the knife manages heat well. Much better than the plug in knife I have. - the blades are very nice aside from the attachment point. Overall I’d say I am very unimpressed with this knife. If something says HD it should be HD and this knife certainly isn’t. I would recommend trying something else if you’re used to really sturdy plug in fillet knives.

Best knife on the market as of now.
So I use the heck out of my knife. Im a guide and clean a lot of catfish and crappie with them. They out preform any batt knife out there. Most people don't like the Bubba knife and to be honest I haven't used that one because I love this one. Plus many of my friends switched to the R12. Now it's not going to last forever. I have broke 2 or 3 but I clean a lot of fish. I keep a spare for when I break one. The blades are great but I have yet to find the replacement black blades. The cheap silver ones work though. I love the 2 batts. I have cleaned over 100 crappie on one batt. I like the thumb button and it fits great in my hands. I like the freedom of not having a cord. That's a game changer. The R12 blows away the old Rapala knife. Now, I have had the thumb button go out before. Ive had them quit oscillating on one side as well. Ive also had them stick on and have to pull the batt. But I still use them and think it's the best option at this point and time.

Good battery capacity
Works as well as any I have used and I have used many. This knife runs a higher rpm than most and has some good torque. Blades are very sharp and it fillets well. Expensive and I think they are taking advantage there but the knife does work well on big walleye down to blue gill.

Best electric filet knife I have had in my hand
I’ll put it up against any knife out there! We catch a lot of fish and it works like a champ!

Best Cordless Fillet Knife
This thing is great. Batteries hold a charge for ages and the blades are sharp and zip through the fillets like butter. The trigger is easy to use and is a better design than other electric knives I’ve tried. Cleaned two man limits of walleye and perch over a week in Ontario and never even got into the second battery. Excellent knife for the money.
