VIVOSUN 4" Metal Inline Fan 100 CFM, Exhaust Fan for Home Ventilation

Really well made. I am using duct fans to pull wood stove heated air from one room to another through the rafters. I have been buying a different brand locally that are noisy and much less efficient than I would like. I bought this one to see what the difference really was. 1. it is about 5 to 10 dollars cheaper (with Prime free shipping) than the locally sold brands. 2. It is MUCH quieter. I can barely tell when this one is running compared to the others. 3. The volume of air movement is quite a bit greater than the locally available duct fans. I used to have to put 2 of the others back-to-back to get the air moved 40 feet. This fan does the job on it's own, and with greater force. All in all, I wish all the fans I had used had been this one. I will buy more of these when the other brand fans eventually fail.

I used this fan along with an old kitchen vent hood to make a ventilation fan for my workshop. It was easy to install inline, and I wired it up to a switched outlet. Now, when I do woodworking or painting in the shop, the dust and fumes are drawn through a common furnace filter and vented outside. Although the volume of air moved is not great, it does help keep the air cleaner, without generating excessive noise.

The fans work fine, but because they are low CFM, they won't open my butterfly dampers. I had to step up to stronger fans. These aren't terribly noisy, so if you aren't using dampers that require air flow to open, they're a good, affordable choice.

It is used as a booster fan for a dryer exhaust. It works. A minor issue is that the diameter is actually quite a bit smaller than 4" even though it is listed as 4".

Doesn't provide enough static pressure to open a back draft damper. Its probably ok for basic flow, not my use case though.

Lasted 1 day. I was impressed by its performance when i tested it before installing. Unfortunately it stopped working the same day i installed it.

Fan is holding up great! Bought it to cool my metal shed, have it on a timer.

This is a very well built fan unit with quite a hefty motor in it well protected from any smoke, oil, or debris that may be channeling through with the exhaust. There is no switch, it's just a straight 6ft cord, but nice and heavy. It is very quiet, nothing lose, no rattling, and you can barely hear the motor. If you are wondering how much push is 100cfm its not a forceful stream but a steady noticeable flow about the same as a computer fan (60-100cfm) or one of those small fans you might have on your desk (ie it won't blow stuff off your desk). Purchased to exhaust air from a small indoor grow space. 100cfh is not much. It works for my 8' square room, but it took about 2-3 days to get my humidity down to a manageable level. Now it keeps up nicely. Would not recommend for a space much bigger than this. There are 200cfh fans for $10 more on here and they'd be worth it. This unit is VERY quiet as it is low cfh.

Funciona bien pero para mi filtro de carbono que para eso lo uso le falto potencia dw cmf pero bueno sirve para lo que es pedido
