I’d say at least 5 pounds. I have a very large, heavy vine in mine. I’ve also got the ceiling hook it’s hanging from secured with a toggle bolt. Hope that helps.

Is this woven onto a metal ring?

No it is not. No metal at all. It’s really long. Very beautifully made. I especially love that it doesn’t have the tassel/strings at the bottom!
