Dreaming

I've already listened to this CD about a dozen times this week. Truly relaxing, especially when driving.

Andre Rieu is part of my Pandora music selections. The other day I heard one of the selections found on the CD "Lost Heroes" and wanted to hear that again and again, so I ordered the CD. There are 17 selections on it. Since the title of it is "Dreaming" I'm a bit confused about some of these. But, then again, it was the "Lost Heroes" I was interested in. Andre and his brother Jean Philippe wrote this together for Memorial Day 2002 as a contribution to the 9/11 comemmoration with a focus on the day the Dutch celebrated the liberation of Holland in 1945. It seems even more appropriate on Memorial Day 2015 - 70 years after WW II ended.This is a vocal selection and it is dedicated to the many Americans who died in that region during the Second WW. (Over 8,000 in the Maastrich cemetery alone.The words of this song brought tears to my eyes. Combined with the music, how could one not be touched!The Words:Oh ocean bird, I wish to tell youA story from long ago.Oh ocean bird I wish to tell you that sad old song you must know.America, so many heroesThey left their homes and crossed the waves.America, you sent your young boysOh ocean bird, how must I tell youThat sad old song? This is an okay album but not one of his best. I have several of these selections on a different CD and had I been more diligent in reviewing this album, I may not have purchased it. Still - good quality, great performances.

Andre Rieu has beautifully brought classical music to all the people and does it perfectly. LOVE IT1

Beautiful Music!

The tracks include My heart will go on (from Titanic) and includes Greensleeves. The traditional The Danube waltz The tracks are from recent years. The album is an uplifting. And includes the track Morning And the track Lost Heroes which Andre Rieu wrote himself. And ends with the track Lullaby.

This is the most wonderful cd I have ever bought. I play it at least once a day. It is what I would call a 'soothing feathers' type of cd and would suit most tastes I think.I am going to see Andre Rieu in Maastricht soon and this cd will keep me going until then.

He's not my cup of tea. This CD was bought as a present for someone who he is

I bought this for a present for my mum and she was absolutely over the moon with it. She really loves Andre and this is just what the doctor ordered :-)
