Wonderful product
This is amazing. The probiotic fiber I have been looking for! I take it with kefir every morning. My digestion is great, my gut in doing just fine. It doesn't have any taste, and it is easy to work with.

Great, effective organic acacia powder! I put 1 tablespoon in my yogurt drinks - mixes nicely - no taste or texture noted after.

Better then husk
This fiber does not cause the stomach issues that husk fiber does. And Now is a trustworthy brand so I feel comfortable getting their products more then some others.

Gentle prebiotic fiber.
Acacia fiber is the gentlest soluble fiber Iโve tried. Unlike psyllium husk which can cause bloating or gas, this NOW Foods acacia powder dissolves smoothly and keeps my digestive system regular without any discomfort. Itโs a clean, certified organic way to feed good gut bacteria and support daily intestinal health.

Constipation cure
An absolute 5-Star product. I recommend this to anyone who mentions (no matter how casually) that they are or ever have been constipated. As many reviewers have mentioned, it can give you gas. It is recommended that you start slowly and build up the amount you take every day. I started with 1 teaspoon daily, waited until I didnโt have gas from it then increased to 1 teaspoon twice a day. Then 2 in the morning, 1 at night. Then 2 and 2. I slowly built up to taking 2 tablespoons a day (1 in the morning and 1 in the evening). This is 12 grams of fiber a day! It has made my bowels so much more comfortable. I also purchased some for my mother who also takes it daily and recommends it to all of her friends. It comes in a large bottle and is a brown powder that will turn your water brown. Very mild taste. I put in a 1-liter water bottle and shake until fully dissolved. When I put in a cup and stir it takes a long time to dissolve and can get a little sticky. Despite this I find it to be a fantastic product and I highly recommend it!

Good Fiber Source, Non-thickening, Won't lower Cholesterol, Don't use with Amoxicillin
This brand of acacia fiber is something I have been adding as a fiber supplement to some of my protein/veggie shakes for about a year now, especially for ones I don't want thickened up . If I want to thicken one up, I use psyllium. This particular company has been around for about 17 years and hasn't managed to land themselves any bad press for fake ingredients that I could find, so I am happy to continue ordering it from them. If you are ordering this, chances are you landed on some website that touted some possible health benefits. The main one that has actually been backed up by research is the reduction of BMI and body fat when used at doses of 30 grams a day for 6 weeks, and that was in acacia gum format. Studies have specifically been done with acacia fiber to see if it did provide cholesterol reductions, and it was shown that it *does not* reduce cholesterol. But I have seen some wellness websites extrapolating general benefits of other fibers to acacia fibers in that area, saying in effect that acacia fiber will also reduce cholesterol, which is actually not correct nor is it backed by the research. So specifically, if you are wanting this product for reducing cholesterol, go with psyllium, which studies actually have shown will reduce cholesterol. Or learn to love your oatmeal... Also, just as an FYI, acacia fiber will interact with Amoxicillin, and you should avoid taking this product when you're on this antibiotic because it interferes with absorption. So I'd recommend writing yourself a great big reminder note and sticking it on the bottle, because there's a chance your Dr. may not think to ask if you are taking this before they prescribe your antibiotics. Otherwise, if all you are wanting is a safe fiber additive that's not going to noticeably change the texture of the things you're adding it to, this is a great product, it's something I use, and it's something I can definitely recommend.
