Great Organic Acacia Powder
Great, effective organic acacia powder! I put 1 tablespoon in my yogurt drinks - mixes nicely - no taste or texture noted after.

Gentle prebiotic fiber.
Acacia fiber is the gentlest soluble fiber Iโve tried. Unlike psyllium husk which can cause bloating or gas, this NOW Foods acacia powder dissolves smoothly and keeps my digestive system regular without any discomfort. Itโs a clean, certified organic way to feed good gut bacteria and support daily intestinal health.

Fabulous Source of Fiber!
This fiber has really made a difference in my IBS issues. I've been taking sunfiber for the last 2 years, and adding this gives me another great tool. Tesearch studirs show, that no matter what type of IBS you have, fiber helps!! While it definitely colors the fluid it's mixed with, there's no real taste to it!My only request is a longer scoop and/or a wider mouth to the jar!!

Wonderful product
This is amazing. The probiotic fiber I have been looking for! I take it with kefir every morning. My digestion is great, my gut in doing just fine. It doesn't have any taste, and it is easy to work with.

Tastes Horrible!
I'm sure this is beneficial to take, but the powder does not mix well at all and if you add it to something like cereal, yuck! I ordered a bottle over a year ago and I have barely used it because of the nasty taste (sort of like drinking cinnamon powder in water).Going to stick with fiber pills or dissolvable fiber powder from now on.UPDATE 1/2/14Since I have developed gastroenteritis disorder last summer, I discovered there weren't many treatments for it, until I decided to try Acacia again. This powder has indeed helped my condition about 75%! Plus, I guess it doen't taste so bad if you mix it in plain water instead of flavored drinks. Now I drink a heaping teaspoon every day and my gut feels much better. It doesn't clump as I originally thought (must have used it in other liquid). Since this is organic, it's more effective than Metamucil is.Because of these facts, I changed my rating from 1 to 4 stars. I plan to use Acacia for a long time.

Good Fiber Source, Non-thickening, Won't lower Cholesterol, Don't use with Amoxicillin
This brand of acacia fiber is something I have been adding as a fiber supplement to some of my protein/veggie shakes for about a year now, especially for ones I don't want thickened up . If I want to thicken one up, I use psyllium. This particular company has been around for about 17 years and hasn't managed to land themselves any bad press for fake ingredients that I could find, so I am happy to continue ordering it from them.If you are ordering this, chances are you landed on some website that touted some possible health benefits. The main one that has actually been backed up by research is the reduction of BMI and body fat when used at doses of 30 grams a day for 6 weeks, and that was in acacia gum format. Studies have specifically been done with acacia fiber to see if it did provide cholesterol reductions, and it was shown that it *does not* reduce cholesterol. But I have seen some wellness websites extrapolating general benefits of other fibers to acacia fibers in that area, saying in effect that acacia fiber will also reduce cholesterol, which is actually not correct nor is it backed by the research. So specifically, if you are wanting this product for reducing cholesterol, go with psyllium, which studies actually have shown will reduce cholesterol. Or learn to love your oatmeal...Also, just as an FYI, acacia fiber will interact with Amoxicillin, and you should avoid taking this product when you're on this antibiotic because it interferes with absorption. So I'd recommend writing yourself a great big reminder note and sticking it on the bottle, because there's a chance your Dr. may not think to ask if you are taking this before they prescribe your antibiotics.Otherwise, if all you are wanting is a safe fiber additive that's not going to noticeably change the texture of the things you're adding it to, this is a great product, it's something I use, and it's something I can definitely recommend.

I bought for a friend who described symptoms of IBS, but doctors were not helpful and not diagnosing anything. She said the acacia is helpful
