Does this have a dhcp server? can it perform nat (network address translation) or any other router functions?

DHCP server is a function handled by routers, this is not a router, it is a switch.

How much noise does this switch make?

The non-PoE model is silent, but the PoE model does have fans.

Can i connect to the switch from my nighthawk x10-ad7200 r9000 router using the one of the 10g sfp+ ports on the switch?

Your router can only handle 1GB throughput so the 10GB won't provide anything extra other than giving you 8 ports to use for your network and using the SFP port for the WAN connection. If you wish to use the SFP with a RJ45 connection, you will need to purchase Fibermall SFP-GE-TS-HPA . I have purchased these and tested to work with that switch.

Can I run my modem directly in to this switch or do I need a router in front of it?

If its a modem / router you’d be fine. You need some sort of router and I’d make sure it has at least a basic firewall.

Great product

I am a networking professional. I love (most of) the Instant On product line. It just works and is easy for my clients to understand. The phone app limits the higher functions but for home and SMB, this is perfect.

Helpful customer service!

I wanted to confirm that the switch was new, that it was authentic, and that inetsupply was an Aruba partner like their web site says. I spoke to both Inetsupply twice and Aruba Networks 3 times and finally got all the information I needed to confirm that yes, they are official Aruba partners. They were helpful during this process which I appreciate a lot.
