I got this lotion because my neighbor recommended it to me. I have a condition that has caused my skin to dry out horribly. She told me. That Skin So Soft has helped get rid of crepy skin on her arms. And it’s a bug repellent as well. So I got some and I really like it so far. The smell is very nice and I love how my skin feels so far.

I have used SSS for decades. My main motivation is its unique ability to ward off insects. Yes that's right it is a wonderful alternative to stinky sticky oily insect repellent! I take my shower at the end of a long day of working in my gardens, apply SSS, then sit outside all evening and enjoy the outdoors without being bothered by mosquitoes, gnats, etc. But what I truly love about this product, in addition to protecting me from pests, is the lovely woodsy scent and how soft and silky it keeps my skin. I recommend it to all my friends.

Surprised since I never have used lotion on my skin. But with age the skin dries out. And this year we had a bad mosquito and deer fly problem. I'm not absolutely sure it works really well since I started trying it before it got cold when the mosquitoes die, so I can't comment on the repellent quality. But I also have had lower legs that have itched fiercely and this stuff moistens and stopped the itching from dryness. So it was like a bonus. Will see next year how it fares against mosquitoes. Meanwhile I'm quite happy with the product.

I bought this because of claim by old timers that it kept the bugs off. Ticks and chiggers were crazy out of control this year and I am an outside girl. Maybe worked somewhat. I got less bites after using it, but still some. It is a nice product to use for skin care and I would buy it again for that reason. Nice fragrance, soft skin, a few less bug bites.

As it was years ago, Avon Skin So Soft, kept the bugs away, moistened the skin and had a pleasant odor. Explored the "Rain Forrest" and walked the beaches of Maui, we were not bothered by bugs. And unknown advantage no sun burn while wearing the lotion. Very pleased with results. Highly recommend. Hope that Helps.

It does not claim to help with mosquitoes, but after hearing so many testimonials from friends about helping to repel mosquitoes, I had to try it. I’m a mosquito magnet. It did not work as a mosquito repellent for ME, but it does smell nice and I will continue to use it for daily moisture. I like the squeeze bottle bc I can quickly pour out a lot for my entire body vs having to pump it out. It is not a super thick and rich lotion, but it is good for daily use to avoid looking ashy and dry.

This lotion has a great feel and scent. It's also been fantastic at keeping off the mosquitos in late summer and fall. We've been getting nasty ankle biters around San Diego for the first time ever. They've been a plague without the lotion. My wife and daughter react badly to mosquito bites. It's obvious when we don't apply the lotion.

I loved everything about this except for the scent. I was expecting it to be the same scent I grew up with. Thankfully it’s pretty lightly scented because I smell like I stepped out of my grandma’s medicine cabinet after putting it on. Otherwise it’s great. Super fast delivery (next day), light weight and not greasy and still moisturizes like the sss I grew up using.
