Bought this for my wife's BMW X5. The original one broke, no surprise. The installation was easy and fit perfectly. Actually better than the original!

Direct replacement of the OEM part, but not any sturdier
Replaced the trunk hatch in my E70 bmw x5. Pretty easy to install, just a few screws but I found that I needed to use some painters tape to hold the plastic spring section in place to assemble it, and then pull the tape out. The old latch had totally broken apart. This is good for now, but feels a little bit delicate. I think it’ll be fine because I’m pretty careful with things, but I am curious if there are other versions that are tougher
