Hip Peas Natural Hair Styling Balm/Gel/Pomade - Light Hold, 2 oz jar

My little two year old boy sees my daughter and I fixing our hair and tries to fix his too, except he does it by rubbing his hand on the bar soap and putting it in his hair. So for his birthday, my daughter and I surprised him with his own hair balm. :) He loves it and no more soap in the hair! It smells good, I'm happy about the clean ingredients, it holds decent for what he uses it for. His hair is short and straight so we mostly use it to give it a little edge which it does. We haven't had any adverse reactions and while the container is small, it doesn't take a lot to style his hair. ~ Stephanie

The item smells amazing, is light, and does the job. The hold isn’t as long as I would like (only hold for two to three for my kids) but I still love this product against others. A little does go a long way, it’s great quality, and did I mention it smells AMAZING!! The kids love it too!

This balm is great for my son’s hair!! He has fine straight hair and a crazy Cowlick which makes it hard to tame. I’ve tried a few others and this is by far my favorite! It isn’t too sticky or greasy in his hair and is very lightweight.

This product works well at when you first apply it. But when my son starts to run around, his hair would fall back down. It would probably last around 30 mins to an hour. If we're out all day and I want his hair to look nice, I keep pn reapplying it throughout the day. :/ My son is 2 years old, has super fine straight Asian hair. I do like how the hair doesn't stay hard, but maybe that's why it doesn't last long. Still searching for a better product.

We love this hair styling balm. It has clean ingredients and it holds up decently. Even though it is a small container it lasts us several months - a little goes a long way!

It took a us many product trials to finally fall upon Hip Peas and now it’s the only styling product we will use for our 3 boys’ hair. They are 7, 5 and 3, all with straight hair but a mix between one having coarse hair and the other two having baby fine hair and this product is very versatile working well for all 3 kids! It’s sticky but not a dry sticky that feels like that paste that balls up, it’s smoother and more pliable! The small isn’t overwhelming, it’s a sweeter almost candy smell but again you can’t even smell it unless you put your nose right up to the jar. I do wish it came with an option for more a noticeable clean scent though !! My favorite features are that it is free of chemicals, parabens etc and is cruelty free. This is a product we will likely subscribe too from now now on!

My sons at an awkward stage of having long hair and getting it cut. He's 2 and has only had a trim. We love his long locks but his hair is constantly getting into his eyes and tickling his ears. I did some research on some hair products and ended up selecting this one because of the fact that it's safe for children of all ages and plant based thats hypoallergenic and doesn't have parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals or sulfates. That part was important to me since he was going to be wearing it in his hair all day. Upon using it, I noticed how tiny the product is, I uploaded an image for comparison with my Yeti cup. It's 2 oz. which breaks down to a little more than $6 per once. The instructions say to use a small amount on the palm of your hand and apply to either wet or dry hair. I think it probably would work better with wet hair. My son has long thick hair, it is definitely a light hold. I had to really run my hand and fingers through his hair for some structure. Before going out today I probably will apply a little more. I think next purchase will be on something with medium hold just because of the pricing and how much I will have to use of the lighthold in order to fully work on his hair and hold it back. But, with that being said, if you are looking for a light hold cream, this is definitely a good option for you. AND it smells amazing (think Grape)!

It keeps my sons curls tight. His hair usually goes flat after wearing a hat but when i use this i just have to run my fingers in his hair and its back to curly. I love this.

this product is packed really cute, and smells really good but not overpowering. I bought it for my sons mohawks but it’s not the greatest for that, you can see the cream and it looks all weird.

Bought for my 2 year oils boys wild hair. This stuff tames it down and I love that it doesn’t have crazy chemicals in it. I wouldn’t buy this if you’re looking for a firm hold

It is greasy, it does seem to do the job but just for a few minutes and then the effect wears off. Also it leaves dandruff like whitish powder in the hair after drying out. The bottle is smaller than it looks in the pictures.

Is a good product for just keep the hair nice, if you looking until for more hold maybe look into another product. But is amazing for babies with a lot of hair to keep of the eyes
