I was hoping USA! How sad, for this price, a US based kickstarter product is made in China. Will pass, thank you Orpheus for the information.

Can I fit enough food for a eight year old

If your child likes to eat warm food, the insulated portion is quite small. I could fit 2-3 large ravioli in it. For my ravenous 7 year old, that is ridiculous. She is much hungrier than that come lunchtime.

Is there one for adults? I’m reading from many reviewers that the thermos jar is very small. I have a 5 yr old that eats like an adult!

Not yet. We are working on a larger OmieBox but don't have a release date yet.

Do kids remove the sealing rubber? Why is not on the lid part?

Because any seal that touches food may get moldy over time. And thus we allow ours to be easily removed and washed after each use.
