I adore the slight grit. It adds to the sensory experience. It IS satisfying. It isn't jarring to me at all. I'm in love. Think this is my new favorite for 85% cocoa because of the texture. It is just awesome (to me). This is my first time trying Taza chocolate. I am new to purposely eating dark chocolate. I dont know if my tastebuds have changed or if I was just trying the wrong stuff, but recently I have tried some very good dark chocolate, and I am preferring it over milk chocolate. It isnt as cloying. I find I can eat a little and be happy. I know it is healthier, which is a huge bonus. Pretty sure prior experience with dark chocolate was just HersheysSpecialDark, and so yeh.. when I decided to try dark chocolate again, I went for more premium brands (at premium prices). This is very good tasting to me. Has a bite, but not bitter. Just enough creaminess to lend a good mouth feel. The grit factor really adds a lot to the experience for me. Each packed round has 2 disks inside. Pack of 12 equates to 24 discs. Score marks allow for easy breaking off of pieces. I like that I can savor a slice at a time. I have not done anything else with it other than to eat it directly.

As far as I know I like it , I use with other bars or sprinkle over something so the lack of sweetness is ok and I don’t need too much sugar anyway My top concern is that it’s fair trade and clean and honestly made but so far so good I love the disc shape , and makes you feel generous bc there are two in there The last time I ordered I must have pressed by mistake or was tired but I was blessed bc I needed some choc to cook with ,God is good to all .

Really tasty! I was worried about how bitter the 85% would be but it’s actually very delicious and hits the spot when I’m craving a sweet treat. Even better that the lead contents are so low!

I submitted a complaint about this product over a week ago and have received no response. The chocolate is very expensive and arrived unwrapped. It clearly is not fresh as the chocolate had discoloration on it. Should I return this item? I would like it replaced with a Fresh batch of chocolate. If not, I would like a refund. Please advise. I would like a response to this.

This is good stuff. I don't want all the soy lecithins and other chemicals and don't want a ton of sugar. This fits the bill. Personally this is one of my favorites. It is a little grainy (I think that's the stone ground part) but it's a unique taste that I really enjoy. I also like: Tcho Chocolate Cacao,81% Evolved Chocolate - Organic Chocolate Bar, Signature Dark, 72% - really clean, no sugar, and great Hu Chocolate Bars Simple Chocolate - smooth and great Milkboy Swiss Chocolates - Extra Dark Chocolate Bars 85%, its a different taste and has a bit more sugar

I eat plain dark chocolate, the darker the better, to help get rid of migraines. I've been obsessed with Taza Mexican chocolate since I first tasted it years ago, but I could never justify buying it when other bulk kosher dark chocolate is much cheaper per ounce. Recently I could justify buying it, and it did not disappoint! The taste is amazing, and the texture is delightful! I will note that stone-ground chocolate has a rougher/grittier texture than regular chocolate, so if you have texture issues, this might not be your product. There are actually 2 chocolate discs per round, which means that it lasts longer. I eat only small amounts at a time, so this 10-pack should last me a while.

I’m disappointed. Other reviewers praise it for lacking bitterness, but you expect dark chocolate to have at least a little bit of an edge to it, right? Despite being 85% dark, it’s just lacking punch, and tastes more like a 50% to me.

This is for the Super Dark 12 pack. This is a box of 12 packages, each containing two rounds of chocolate. Very delicious eaten straight. Yummmm. I bought this in March of 2019 for 21.49. Now in May 2019 it is $45. Ouch!!! I did check around and the retail is $5 per package, so I guess this is a good deal. But I wish it would go back to the $21 price. Fortunately, I bought 2 at the cheap price.

Love this chocolate. The sweetness is just right for me and texture is different but I love it. The best thing is that this chocolate is low in heavy metals. It's pricey but it's worth it. It's my favourite chocolate now.

The flavour is beautiful. If you’re a fan of intense cocoa, definitely try this. Perfect companion to my cup of espresso on weekend mornings. Grittiness adds personality to this chocolate.

The chocolate is soooo good! Expensive, but worth every cent. It's crunchy and tastes like real cocoa beans. Recommend for real chocolate lovers.

Perfect if you like the taste of cardboard. Bonus, was not able to make any return or refund.
