We live in a condo, and used to have our pet/dog potty on our back patio where it could air well. Once it became cold, wet, and/or rainy, our chihuahua did not want to go outside. As a solution, we moved her potty into our garage; making a doggie door from our utility room into the garage. This worked fairly well until it became a little warmer outside and thus warmer in the garage. The smell became unbearable in the closed garage. We had found this product at the big box store that begins with Home. It absorbed all of the urine odor and we were extremely pleased. It left just a faint berry odor in the potty area and it was not over powering in the single car garage. Unfortunately we were unable to purchase another one from there as they no longer carried it. We tried a number of other odor eliminator products without luck. I found this on Amazon, and even though it costs about three more bills than the home store did, it is absolutely worth it! We are using a new one about once every 2 months.

recently been getting a dampness smell in my car every now and then,think my sunroof must have not been closed properly at some point,i bought an odor genie,the wild berry scent isnt too strong in fact i cant smell it at all unless i stick the thing up to my nose,had it in my car 2 days,so not enough time to tell if it will get rid of the damp whiff,but was expecting a nice berry smell from the thing at least,so ive also ordered a couple of California scents,to see if they hide the smell,while the odor genie eliminates it,so far though for the price of the odor genie,i dont think i would buy 1 again,i will update in a week or so once the odor genie has been in car for a week,i have given it 2 stars meanwhile because the smell is poor,if it eliminates the damp smell then i maybe upgrade another star.UPDATE.06/08/12..think this thing was a waste of money,cant smell anything from it,and i still smell the damp smell every now and again as i did before,so i have downgraded this thing to 1 star,although i would give it 0 stars if i could,the california scents are good though,good long lasting smell at a fraction of the price of this damprid thing,all in all I would NOT recommend damprid

These definitely work to remove odours. Our gas lift bed smelled damp from the moment it was delivered & I had tried everything (even had the bed replaced) these were the only thing that removed the damp smell from the bed. I have used them for many years on a house that is mostly closed up & can smell stagnant, so these do make a difference. They can smell strong for the first couple of days but will reduce the stong scent thereafter. Highly recommend using them!
