These angled banana plugs are made for ease of use. The Gold plating is nice and the ability to secure your wiring to the plug with the screws is secure. Gold plating is always the way to go for good connectivity. The aluminum covers that protect the wire connection is nice looking and strong.

Great right angle banana plug for speaker wires and jacks. I bought these to connect my new SVS speakers to my desktop system. I used 12ga wire without issue. Note that there is a piece of heat shrink tubing inside the barrel that you need to remove after loosening the screws almost all the way out. The included screwdriver was up to the job to get the heat shrink out. I suspect it was in there to give the set screws something to press against and keep them from backing out to lock the outer barrel on. Strip about 5/8” of speaker wire and twist the wires before you insert into jack. I pushed in far enough that the insulation just inserted into the barrel but not too far that the set screw contacted it as the set screw will then be too long and the screwdriver won’t be able to tighten it all the way. Tighten set screws all the way down flush with the outside of the barrel so that the outer sleeve will fit over. I find that a good silicon insulated 12ga speaker wire is the best fit and will handle any load without issue. My SVS prime satellite speakers totally rock using this set up when paired with the SVS 3000 Micro sub for my desktop system. I’ll purchase more of these for future use. In the end I found them to be of good quality and installation was simple once I figured out the heat shrink was inside the barrel. The price is good and sound quality is on par with any other speaker wire configuration I have used over the years.

Very poor quality, first two both broke while installing. Looks like the two pieces are just held together with a tiny bit of adhesive. Also not sized for 12 gauge wire as advertised, the grub screws are too long to be flush with 12 gauge wire, so you either have to leave the cover off, or really torque them down more than you should.

The GearIT Right Angle Banana Plug speaker terminations are nicely machined and fit well in the two different brands of speakers I used them on. The included screwdriver is appreciated. Two observations: since GearIT was thoughtful enough to provide a screwdriver, why do they use straight slot screws rather than a Philips head or better, a Torx type head to keep the screwdriver from slipping off those tiny screws? The second observation: why is there rubber insulation inside the housing the screws fit in to secure the speaker wire? I removed the insulation with tweezers but since the point of the plugs is to provide good electrical contact between the wire, the housing, and therefore the banana plug to the speakers, why put the insulation in the housing at all? Not enough to be less than a five star rating for an excellent product, but be sure to have tweezers available when installing the plugs.

These right angle banana plugs are a great product on the whole. The material is quality and they look well made and plug into your connections with a firm push. After connecting they aren’t going anywhere! My only issue is they do NOT work for 12AWG wire! I’m running 12AWG speaker wire to my new Klipsch RP 8000-II speakers and the 12 gauge wire proved too thick for the terminal. These plugs secure the wire by using two very small screws and then you complete the job by screwing the “cap” over the secure post. However, the 12 gauge wire is so thick that the screws can’t screw all the way down to sit flush allowing the cap over the screws! I tried screwing the screws so tight I started to strip the flathead groove in the screw. I considered grabbing a metal file and filling down the small exposed section of the screw but after working on the larger speaker project for hours, and knowing that the plugs would be 100% hidden behind the speaker, I got lazy and didn’t do anything g about it. As long as the screws are tight the wire isn’t going anywhere. I’ve used these in the past on smaller 14AWG and 16AWG wire and they work great! So these ARE good products, just know that anything larger than 14AWG wire won’t work without modifying in some way. I hope this review was helpful to you in some way. Cheers!

Better than the standard ones

The product is nice quality and effective sort of. the issue is in the description "12 gauge and up wire." The little set screw is machined so exact that if you do not snug it down so incredibly snug you can not get the color coded beauty cap to get past the first set screw. And the tiny screw is simply not built for that kind of pressure. I was using 14 gauge wire and really had a struggle. The issue is mostly directed at that 1st set screw the 2nd or top set screw seemed to not give as much difficulty.

Parfait pour espace restreint. Guide le fil vers le bas ou le haut au besoin. Cependant il est difficile de visser le dessus de la fiche avec un fil de calibre 12, les vis même bien serrées n'entrent pas assez dans la fiche interne.
