Great piece of kit, a must for any diyer or motor enthusiast
The media could not be loaded. Upon receiving the endoscope I opened the box and switched it, without opening the instruction book I found it simple and easy to use as it operates in a logical way, plus the icons on the buttons clearly identify their function. The cable for the camera is more than sufficient in length and can be easily straightened out and bent to suit the task. The camera is lovely and clear, the light is a great touch and being able to adjust is an added bonus and handy to limit over exposure. The screen is nice and clear giving a clear view of the camera and whatever you are viewing. The best features for me are the functionality of the camera and the ability to rotate the camera view 180 degrees, however the real party piece is the dual camera and being able to switch to the side view, which can prove invaluable. The extras included such as magnet are a nice touch and great for retrieving that dropped nut or screw up.All in all I am very impressed with the endoscope and it is real value for money, tough, rugged, great functionality, excellent battery life, highly recommend

Fantastic bit of kit
I took a punt on this, given the very reasonable price. I wasn't disappointed - this is a very well engineered, robust and easy to use dual-camera endoscope.I used it to survey a newly built roof and capture photographs of defects in the membrane that would be otherwise impossible to photograph. The long reach was perfect, and the cable was nice and stiff and easy to control. I strongly recommend this product.

Useful tool.
I used this to try to locate a dead rodent under a wooden floor. Drilling multiple small and ultimately unsightly holes to feed the camera through wasn't a good idea as camera manoeuverability is obviously restricted to that immediate location. So removed a small section of floorboard for access. This was only a limited success as the camera is useless unless it can be guided - eg hand held the camera image is in constant tremor and the camera cannot be moved any distance and with any precision without support. For this I used a 2 metre length of flexible plastic strip taped to the camera and cable. This worked well. However - the lens depth of field is very narrow - approximately a couple of inches - which meant much of the image was out of focus and blurred. The image in focus though was very good - lots of detail. In the end I resorted to a small hand torch and an inspection mirror which provided a much clearer view of the underfloor area.Unfortunately the rodent was not found. Ripping up an entire floor to find it was not practical and so we wait for it to decompose fully. It's been 4 weeks now.......In conclusion the Depstech Endoscope is potentially very useful depending on circumstances. For example in locations where it's lateral movements are confined such as soil pipes - chimneys - under roof tiles - etc it would be excellent. Open spaces though require support. Overall the endoscope is easy to use and very useful when operated within its limits.

Good quality, easy to use and affordable Depstech endoscope.
I am a machinery inspection engineer by trade and have been using the Depstech app based endoscope for over 2 years without any issues. I just wanted an all in one device that didn’t tie my phone up.As I have been very happy with Depstech products in the past I decided to try their endoscope with a built in lcd screen.Picture quality is much better than I expected, and it comes with a 32GB micro SD card installed for storing videos or images. The dual lens system is an added bonus allowing better viewing versatility. The ability to flip the image by 180 degrees is very handy if the image is upside down on the screen.Included items include a charging cable as well as hook and magnet attachments for retrieving dropped items in hard to reach places. Also included is a 45 degree mirror attachment. The 16.5 foot waterproof cable is flexible yet still rigid enough to manoeuvre it where you want it.As with my previous Depstech purchases, I am sure the DS300 Industrial Endoscope will be prove to be a sound investment.

Amazing!
This is the dual lens version with the long reach probe. I did my research and took my time. There are undoubtedly better quality versions out there but at a very different price. For my purposes this is just perfect. Thus far I’m hugely impressed. What a piece of technology! Intuitive controls, neat smart and easy to use. Setting aside all the “tech spec” you turn it on, position it and get quite superb pictures with crisp, sharp, well lit, clarity. Even the packaging shouts quality. Worth getting a proper carry case and I’m surprised they failed to provide some type of protective cap/cover for the lens but not a problem. The battery life seems good and not the slightest criticism beyond that. I think you’d struggle to do better for the money. I recommend.

For the DIY'er who almost has everything.....
So thinking of having the walls of our house insulated.Contractor came out and drilled a test hole shone his torch-light into it and advised the walls had been insulated in the past and all the old stuff would have to be extracted. The anticipated quoted price went up by a factor of 4.HOLD ON - I'm going to check that with something a bit more revealing than a phone torch....Got this baby and off I went drilling even more test holesIT works pretty well - picture quality is good - cable has just right balance between flexibility and rigidity but it's a little awkward to get into the right position ALSO remember which way you're holding the screen or you'll get confused between UP and DownHave found other uses since and generally pleased with the purchase - if you're lucky enough to have most tools gadgets already and a few quid to spare to further indulge your obsession in same - get one.And yes - the effin contractor was telling the truth ... there is old insulation in there - need to have a rethink about wall insulation....
