I want to buy blundstone 500 in a women's size 6.5 us. what do i order?

The best way is to measure the length of your foot and use the size chart on their website. I bought maybe 3 pairs based on other's suggestions for size conversion, eventually measuring my foot in millimeters and got a perfect fit. Remember that they are natural leather and will stretch over time, especially if you wear thick socks. I typically wear a Women's size 10 and was initially pleased with the size 8 550's but after about a year of daily wear (and breaking them in in the winter) they are huge. I will probably go with a 7 for my next pair. If you can, go to a Good Feet or Comfort One hoe store, they usually carry them and you can try on to get the best fit.

is the fit true to size?

These boots come in Austrailian size. I am a size 9 US women and ordered the 6.5 AU size they said is comparable. The sizes they listed were a little confusing but if you read them all there is usually a US comparison. I've owned this brand boot for over 15 years and once you figure out what your AU size is, they are true to size.

We have a pair of these shoes, marked 9.5 - is there a difference between us and aus sizes?

Size/Width is different on Blunnies. AUS sizes are one number lower than US (9 AUS=10 US). Whole sizes are normal width, Half sizes are NOT longer, but wider, So a 9.5 AUS would be 10 Wide here in the USA.
